The location of the hotel is perfect - in the real heart of the City, which make it very convenient for short walk trough the sightsee in free time betwin my meetings. Everything I can say is that this is real five stars hotel (furnishing, service, atitude). The rooms are preaty large with small desk for business. The bed was quin size and very comfortable. There is enogh space for your belongings sucha as big wardrop and place for shoes. The height of the room is huge - more than 3.5 m and feeling is amazing. The style of the furnitures is modern and stylish. The cleaness is on very high level, even in some crners that was not expected to be free of dust. The internet connection is through WiFi and free with average speed.I was using anly breakfast, but it was very rich with a lot of fresh fruits and huge variety of breds, meat, yogurt ( I can't write all the food, but the variety is great). In the all publick area is very clean and smelling very fresh. I want to mention the reception staff (I was realy surprised, all of them speak fluent minimu three languages) their attitude is perfect, always smilinig and ready to help you any time. The feeling to see smiling staff at 8:00am realy make the start of your day amazing. I can say that they are trained excelente. Overall my stay will be remarkable and will remeber it. Definitely recommend hotel Mosva, Belgrade and will come back any time if I have a chance. Well done keep it up all the management :)

Beautiful hotel in good location, walking distance of the main buildings, restaurants shops and museums.
My room was incredibly small I though will be bigger according to the pictures of the website, my toilet was small too.
The breakfast buffet was nice.

The staff working in there were professional and polite always helpful.
The spa was not working due covid despide I paid extra I did not received a discount. You have to book to use a sauna only allows 15 mins slots.

The gym is small crowded and the air conditioning does not work.

The architecture of this building is beautiful.
They have a nice cafe to seat outside with lovely cakes

This splendid hotel was a highlight of our time in Belgrade. It is a grand dame hotel in a great location that has retained its elegance, inside and out. One thing that struck me was the lounge. For most hotels of this era, one can only now imagine how the lounge must have been a social hub of the city. But in this hotel it still is, a bustling meeting place, with live piano in the background. Throughout the hotel one can see photos of the many, many famous guests who have come before.

Our room suite was a brilliant design for a family. The main bed is upstairs in a loft, so on the main floor the couch could fold out to a bed for our daughter. I don't know why more hotel rooms aren't designed this way, with just a little separation for guests who go to sleep earlier. The hotel's spa (jacuzzis/sauna) was such a treat in a downtown hotel - truly calming. And we appreciated the great variety of foods at breakfast such as the specialty honey bar for the pancakes. My smallest complaint was that the breakfast food could have been kept hotter. But I would definitely stay here again. Sure there are slightly cheaper hotels in Belgrade, but this one provides excellent value. It's worth it.

We happened to stay the Christmas Weekend in this fancy looking hotel last year.
We checked in one hour before the checkin time as the guy at the reception said it was a big favor. As he did a big favor and we had our reservation thru booking.com, he gave us the worst possible room. When we asked for another one, all was taken (though was before checkin time) and tried to sell us another room with higher price! Was a bad start but we didnt want to spoil the weekend and stayed in the first room.

They have good housekeeping, nice breakfast with piano and poor service of spa cleaning when crowded.

While checking out I was informed that they had not charged my credit card so I made the payment with another credit card at checkout. Right after I returned home I found out that there were already two charges and one preauthorization putting me under the liability of TRIPLE obligations for the cost of the stay. When I contacted them they said extra charges would be cancelled. After application via booking.com they released the preauthorization. BUT as of today (three weeks after my stay) I already factually made the DOUBLE payment to the bank. So I applied to the banks to return the amaount involved with supporting documents of double charges.

Even more strange, after these applicaitons the hotel is still not returning the excess payment. So now I am filing the case to Ministry of Tourism of Serbia. I belieive they will take necessary measures to eliminate such organizations to avoid bad effects to their beautiful country. It was just two nights stay keeping me busy for three weeks by now!

If you happen to stay there NEVER issue any credit cards and make all payments in cash only. I have travelled more than 40 countries and never faced even a similar situation or arrogance.

Final words about booking.com. Though the reservation was made via them and they have taken quite a big amount of comission out of it, they are stepping aside leaving me alone with their “bots”. This was my final travel with them.

We spent 11 nights at this hotel, much of it in our room because my husband was quarantining with COVID. The hotel itself is very pretty and definitely feels upscale. The staff is also professional and friendly, very responsive to our requests.
This is a nice hotel with some quirks. The rooms are pleasant, if small, and the bed was comfortable and well-appointed with decent linens and pillows. The shower door leaked water and soaked the bathroom floor whenever it was used. The shower and sink drains were slow, but the issue was addressed once we brought it to the attention of staff. Does Housekeeping not notice a clogged drain when they clean?
As the weather was hot during our stay, we used the A/C in our room with varying degrees of effectiveness. Sometimes it worked, and sometimes it didn't. We called the front desk a couple of times about this, and it eventually started working again and seemed to stay on.
Guests are not allowed to wash out or iron clothing in their room. The rooms don't lend themselves to doing laundry, but pressing a shirt? I never encountered a hotel that forbids an iron in the room. They will press clothing (very nicely) for a fee, and the fee is a bit stiff.
We had room service most every day, and the food is good. Be aware that the hotel will add an additional 28% to restaurant prices to deliver food to your room.
The Hotel Moskva wasn't a bad experience, but they price themselves high and for that cost point and 4-stars, there could be more attention paid to maintenance and guest amenities.

We stayed here traveling with Gate 1. I loved the historic architecture and decor of this hotel, both inside and outside. We took a great group photo in front of the hotel, to appreciate the memory of our time in Serbia. Our room was quite small, probably one of the smallest we have had in most of our travels with Gate 1, and that was the main thing we did not care for in this hotel. Otherwise, everything else was up to par. Interestingly enough, when traveling with a tour group, most of us talk about such things, and everyone was surprised to find a great variety of room size selections assigned, which usually does not happen. This hotel must have a lot of variety in their room sizes. Just an observation. Anyway, the location is very good, very close to walk to popular areas for shopping and restaurants, etc. A very busy area. Also a very interesting list of previous VIP guests. Check it out.

Hotel Moskva is a centrally located hotel with comfortable but old rooms in the style of yesteryears, trying, but not really managing, to retain that flair of luxury that this type of grandiloquent interior used to signal.

The hotel café and restaurant is highly popular and crowded throughout the day and evening and the breakfast is really good, although it’s a little bit weird that they have several types of bread rolls, loafs and croissants – but no cheese to put on it (I don’t count thick pieces of manchego style cheese as something you put on your toast).

But the level of service at this hotel is unfortunately way way below what I would expect from a four star hotel. Especially one like Moskva, that tries to still exhume the flair and grandiosity of what this hotel used to be back in the early 1900’s.

The rooms are equipped with a fully stocked minibar, but when I went to the hotel bar to ask for a bucket of ice for our drinks I rudely got told no and that I was expected to order, and pay for, ice through the room service.

It took five people, including the lobby supervisor, a restaurant supervisor and the manager in charge to explain to me that the hotel rules prevented them from just giving me a bucket of ice and instead having me return to my room empty handed, call for room service and pay for someone to bring the ice to me. The time spent on this explaining and refusing me ice of course cost the hotel far far more than just handing me a small bucket of ice, as is normal hotel service all over the world, and in basically every type of hotel, as long as there is an ice machine available.

And when one of my travel companions accidentally knocked over a small table in the lobby that unfortunately meant also breaking the glass top of the table the staff demanded a payment of 9000 dinars ($95) for this. We of course refused, pointing out that it was an obvious accident and that the hotel would have insurances to cover this type of accidentals.

This might all seem like first world problems but I know what to expect from what I’m paying for, and from the level of standard a hotel portrays itself to be.

I’ve stayed in hotels in 45+ countries on six continents, from 1 star to 5 star and I know what to expect from a worn down roadside motel in Montana, US, a 2 star hotel in Nakuru, Kenya, a 5 star resort in Dubai or a top class business hotel in Tokyo, Japan.

Hotel Moskva it’s just not on par with what I would have expected, and the rudeness of the staff is embarrassing.

The hotel was cool, quite intresting architecture and just ok facilities for its price.
At the check in we paid 10% more than our booking (from hotel's site) price was. Specificly the booking price was 244euros(plus accomodation tax) and they charged to my credit card 255euros(plus accomodation tax). I sent mail to the hotel asking why, but i never received an answer. Just cheating and not professional at all. So sad.

Upon entering Hotel Moskva, one immediately is transported to another time in history. This hotel, built by King Alexander I, is quite beautiful. The rooms are of a decent size and their furnishings reflect another era.... therefore if you want a modern hotel, do not stay here. The beds are extremely comfortable, linens clean. I stayed in two rooms as I left for a few days travel. The first room's bathroom was spacious, with a deep, large tub which was wonderful (some elderly and those with mobility issues might find in difficult to enter and exit the bathtub, thus ask for a room with a shower). The second room had a nice size shower. One can hear one's neighbors if they are being loud, but this is not a party hotel, whereby I found that it was mostly quiet during my 9 day stay. Service at the desk was fantastic and the breakfasts were ample and the food was fresh and delicious. Is this hotel a five star hotel? No, as it is a bit dated (which I like, as it has character), but with the service, it is better than a 4 star hotel. And the location is optimal. When I return to Belgrade, I will again stay at the Moskva.

We orders eggs for breakfast, and received a breakfast that was cold and old. Once we complained the waiter was very nonchalant and aggressive.
My boyfriend got a hair in his food and when we told the waiter, he said that maybe it was our hair, then he yelled at us and asked what we want.
Will never come back here

Hey Upstarter, There is a info rack in the lift foyer, it has small cards with tours ,hire cars and places to visit. If you call the hotel directly the staff speak English and will be able to advise you and converse in what your interest are and recommend places. As for transport in front of the hotel is the underground train station and before that on street level is the bus stop and across the road as well for buses in opposite direction. The trams run right in front as well. the taxi ranks is to the left in front of a small kiosk and supermarket. Its located central to the bohemian quarter and to the shopping district walk that leads to the castle. The main bus and train station that go further from the c,b,d are not to far if you want to go to say Novi Sad the Hungarian province. Check out the markets which are in front of the local bus interchange say 5 min walk at the most.
