I stayed at Astoria for just five days but I think I can definitely say that it doesn't deserve 4 stars. The looks of the hotel may be nice, but the actual services are poor. I'm not a pretentious person, so I'm not focusing on fancy services, just the basic ones. For instance, t

Nice hotel with staff as a key advantage. Rooms are nothing special for this category of hotel. Price was fair.
Breakfast simple with national cuisine and good.

I spent several nights in this hotel and had to change rooms after the first night due to noise from the street outside.
The hotel is quaint and could be far better if repairs and maintenance were undertaken.
Examples of issues were loose toilet seats, loose tap fittings over the

Do not be fooled by the photos, the hotel looks charming but the devil is in the detail. We were located on the 5th floor which meant going up in a tiny old fashioned elevator barely big enough for two plus luggage. Our room looked quite nice, I was impressed by the kettle and

Is there a hair-dryer in the room? Do the rooms have a study/work desk or a table? If not can one be put in? Is there free wifi in the hotel and in the rooms?
Hello......Sorry, don't recall about a hair dryer as we had our own. My guess is that great front desk folks can help out. There is a desk in all rooms, ranging from narrow and long in smaller rooms, to full size in the suites. Yes, free high speed ( for Serbia) internet thru out the property. Enjoy the restaurant breakfast which is excellent.
