More often that not, guests complain when services are subpar or inadequate, but very rarely do they allow establishments to win them back with exceptional customer service and attentiveness. Queens Astoria Design Hotel went beyond and above service during my stay and it is to be commended. I booked very late and at the last minute because of several Booking.com errors that were completely separate from this hotel, so when I arrived I was tired and just wanted to rest. The room I was initially assigned was the wrong one, and when I went back downstairs, I was quickly assigned another room that exceeded my expectations. Every day, when I came downstairs, the concierge /front desk made sure that I was enjoying my stay and offered to assist me with any questions I had. When I requested an invoice in dollars to send to Booking.com, they took time out during a particularly busy moment at the front desk to tend to my needs. Because of their service and attention to detail, I extended my stay through the weekend, and the manager personally spoke to me to ensure that all my needs had been met. As someone that has traveled to Belgrade many times over the last decade and stayed in several hotels, I will say that this is hands down THE best experience I have ever had in one and it easily could have been the worst. THIS is how you win international guests over and as this city becomes a go-to destination, Queen’s Astoria Design Hotel will succeed where others fail.…
It a charming hotel with good location in Belgrade. You can park your car nearby in a sister hotel. Center in a walking distance. Breakfast was very good. Good value for money. Nearby is the restaurant Zavičaj, with serbian ethno cuisine.
Location was good, by the bus station and a 10 minute (uphill) walk into the touristy central area of Belgrade. It's a difficult hotel to review as it's trying desperately to be something, elegant? classy? but it falls short. The décor is more quirky shabby chic than elegant. Some areas need attention, stained carpets and marked walls, not all the lights seemed to work in the room. I had a room on the first floor at the front and it's incredibly noisy; the traffic on the main road and the lack of good soundproofing (double glazing) results in poor sleep quality. Standard rooms do not have a safety deposit box which is very disappointing and inconvenient, meant having to carry passport and valuables all the time. The 'better standard' rooms have safety boxes but we all have valuables and all deserve some security regardless of room rate. Breakfast was OK but there was a lack of staff attention eg having to ask for cutlery or things to be replenished. There was no black tea; all kinds of herbal and fruit but not ordinary black tea - why? They also use plastic stirrers on the hospitality tray in the room and in the breakfast room; in this day and age this is a big NO. Other cutlery provided was metal so why not teaspoons? Overall, not bad for the price would ask for a room at the back in future for some peace and quiet. Didn't live up to my expectations.…
Bachelor party in Belgrade for one night. The hotel was great. Clear, nice rooms, not expensive, and close to everything. The receptionists were helpful and friendly. Breakfast sucked. Say Hi to Ivana at the reception. If you are going to Belgrade to party, she knows where to go.
The hotel claims is 4 stars but is outdated and not maintained well. However location is great and price very good, just a cross main bus station perfect for catching bus for next destination if travelling by bus. City centre is about 10 min walking and airport is 25 min drive €15. Let's say good 3 star hotel with friendly staff and great price
Stayed here with 5 friends, we had a blast. Ivana at the reception was a amazing host, gave us great advice about everything. Milos working behind the bar was also super friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back here when visiting Belgrade. Everything is in walking distance. Great value for money.
Perfect location, it is a 10 minute walk from the city center. With a moderate classic european breakfast. Rooms are in victorian style and they are really beautiful. Staff was kind and helpful. Cleaning could have been better to be honest.
We went for dinner and they were taking our plates in a rush without asking if they can take it or not and not even have finished!! How rude! In the rooms the air conditions were on and the temperature was 16 degrees!! Very cold to stay in the room
A vintage look hotel maintained in spic and span condition. Rooms size was adequate but air conditioning was a bit poor. Service of the staff was good. Morning breakfast was good. Hotel elevator though old has been maintained well.
Located near the bus station, it's a great choice if you're coming by bus. Staff was amazing, professional and super fast. Elevator and rooms do have a bit of history, but considering the price and location, it's a safe choice.
