I did not actually spend a night at this hostel. i tried to book a bed here, but i made the mistake to use a third party wedsite that did not register the booking properly. when i arrived there, there was no bed available for me. however, they showed a lot of sympathy for it and called a nearby hostel to book a bed for me there. i am very greatful for that, so i decided to write my first review to thank them.
This is a new hostel, very clean and well cared for. Conveniently located. Staff speaks English and Russian. Bathrooms are clean and modern. There's a shared kitchen with everything needed for cooking, a hangout area with a little work desk, and a nice little garden. From time to time a cool dog shows up. They also run regular events such as BBQ/meetups. A great place to stay in Belgrade.
I have been to Belgrade many times and have always been on the fence about the hostels there so usually rent an apartment. But I was recommended to stay at Good People Hostel and it is the best decision I have ever made on a trip to Belgrade. The location is very central, so it is possible to walk just about anywhere in the center to take in the sights and museums. Also, the hostel itself is immaculate, clean, and there is a great vibe inside. The beds are cozy, the bathroom and showers have lots of space, and the kitchen has all the amenities necessary. The backyard is a great addition as well, and the staff is always ready and able to help you whenever you have any questions.
Very nice place. Owners always help with anything you need for comfort living and can advise you interesting places to spend time in Belgrade and Serbia. Location in quite area of the central district.
Wonderful atmosphere and people. Peaple are great. Rooms also great. Everything is clean and safe. Is in the center of the city and is also cheap. The owners are wonderful people always ready to hang out!
Good People Hostel was a great place ton stay for a month, the staff are kind and attentive, and most of them speak good English. The people of the hostel live like a community and it's an all round great place to be. A highlight would be that the beds actually have a curtain guaranteeing privacy, I completely recommend this hostel.
Hostel is 10min walk from Republic Square (centre). Rooms clean/tidy, good security (card access), free WiFi/bedding, free towel (but this is hand towel so small), locker for each bed, comfy bed, private curtain for bed, charging point/light/shelf in bed. Chilled hostel, friendly staff, kitchen/dining room, seats in courtyard. Free city maps. Staff have food tips for food/places to visit (visit Walter cevapi 2 streets away - good Serbian food & drinks very good price). Take a free walking tour in town 10am&3:30pm (republic square-reserve online-just google company with red umbrella). Only downside is that when I stayed there were no activities/tours offered, not huge atmosphere but good if you want to just chill. Take A1 Bus from airport to Slavija square then get a taxi (I used taxi app Car:go - cost around £2.50/€2.90/$3.22£ as tram2/10 don’t run as it says on hostel website (I asked many people in Slavija square). Overall a very good hostel.…
I've spend more than one month in this hostel. So far this is one of the best hostels where I've ever stayed. Awesome design and atmosphere, outdoor area with bbq, comfortable beds with curtains, great staff, perfect cleanliness.
When I landed in Belgrade I had very less information about the hostel (Good People Design Hostel) which I had booked already through Booking.com. I badly needed a good sleep especially after a long flight from Doha. I saw some beautiful pictures and a big lawn of the hostel which attracted me to book for a night. Once I reached the hostel I felt so good to see the ambiance and a warm welcome from the staff! Immediately, one of the owners came to me to say 'Hi' and made me comfortable. Then I was taken to the dorm room that I had booked for one night. At the first glance, I felt very good about the place since it was super clean, very well organized, and very comfortable sized beds. After settling down, I came to the lobby area and had a cup of coffee which was free! I was pleasantly surprised to see Indian spices and masalas in the kitchen. Later I discovered that the owners are very fond of cuisines from different parts of the world including Indian. Then and there, I decided to extend my stay for one week. During the week I met so many good people from different countries. The location of the hostel is very nice which allowed me to just walk to many nearby attractions, shopping centers and the Danube river. Free tea/coffee, free walking tour (from the hostel), yoga classes, free bike tour, food nights are some of the key highlights of the hostel. I really liked the open lawn area where I can sit for hours. I liked the place so much that I booked a bed for the whole month! My best hostel stay ever in any city in any country! I genuinely recommend the hostel if you are travelling to Belgrade. I'll come back to stay there for sure!…
A great thanks to Veronik and her team for bringing so much soul in such a fantastic place, that's perfectly aligned with the vibe of the vibrant city of Belgrade. The bed are comfortable and the curtains give more privacy than in most hostels, even in the dorms. The building is new and sparkling clean, +1 for the A/C in the rooms when it is 38°C outside. But what makes the place really special is: - The patio where it's so nice to chill that you have to force yourself out to go out and explore the city - Fortunately, the owners are super arty (you see it in the decoration of the hostel) and, while I usually handle myself, I discovered a dozen places that inspired me to come back to live in Belgrade someday - art cafes, stylish restaurants, trendy bars ... - The location itself, Dorcol (the neighborhood) is incredible and the hostel is in the middle of it. That puts you 10-15' away from the administrative center, where is the main square, the H&M, and the stuff you find in every city. Dorcol is the reason you will love Belgrade. I doubt it's possible to find something better in Belgrade if you're looking to explore the dynamic, creative, arty side of the city.…
