We stayed in the showboat room and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners were very accommodating and the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The town is picturesque and we cannot wait to go back.

We discovered theThe Parkview Inn purely by accident. Our first choice of a bed and breakfast was closed due to COVID-19 so we decided to try our second choice in Bracken County and were very pleasantly surprised. We were met by the owner of the Inn a wonderful lady who made us feel like family. She got us settled into our room "The Victorian" which was very comfortable and clean. Our plans originally were to only stay 1 night but we decided to stay a second night and enjoy Augusta, the surrounding areas and the hospitality of the Parkview Inn. We plan on going back to the Parkview in a few weeks when we go back to Bracken County to look for a home to buy in the area.

We tried to make our fun couples get away work at this bed and breakfast even after we found dead bugs in our rooms. We decided to pack up and leave when we found an alive bed bud on the top covers in room #4. All 5 couples left and drove back to northern Cincinnati. Fun night over. Hopefully the refund will go through. I read a few reviews saying the refund wasn’t processed. We did not eat in the restaurant but when I went in search of wine glasses, I saw two roaches crawling on the dishes in the kitchen.

I loved the antique decor of the themed rooms and found the staff friendly and helpful. We checked in after 7pm and the restaurant had closed. The public rooms were decorated for Christmas. Our included breakfast was delicious. The hotel is close to main street and close to the river. I would definitely stay here again.

I should have turn around when we tried to check in. 1st the lady stared at me and made us feel very uncomfortable. So I inquired if they allow African american to stay at this bed and bath (mind you I did not see anyone of ethical backgrounds). Finally work out reservation. She gave us the key for the cottage..... It wasn't clean, the heat did not work (temp was 34 degrees). There was no one in the office to call. We were soooo darn cold , we left early Sunday. My brothers and sister do NOT stay here. Reverend E V Burks 11 3 2019.
