Went with family to eat something and I chose the bone marrow. It was very tasty, served with horseradish, toast and assorted pickles. Had house red wine. I also highly recommend the lamb that simply melts in your mouth!

I’ve visited the restaurant with my wife on Sunday to have lunch. The food was ok and prices are reasonable for some options and quite expensive for many other options in the menu.
But the bad thing is that they allow people to smoke everywhere and we had the unpleasant experience of having a lady smoking by our side. It’s disgusting to have the smell of cigarettes while eating. They should have separate spaces for smokers and not smokers, at least.
Most probably I will not return.

Recommended by our tour guide. Right at the edge of the old town, a reservation needed here, especially at weekends, the front hosts are somewhat moody bordering rude, but get past that, you get quality service, tasty food and a great selection of drinks. Live traditional dancing and music, better than the rest for an authentic Romanian experience. Smaller food portions but authentic, some unique options. The old time stew was very tasty. Must be even better eating here in the summer months. Not the cheapest but worth a one night try.. we will be returning for sure. BeLu. JAN23.

Visited here with a group and we had a booking. The setting is pretty cool, in a courtyard with plants and tables, plus live Ukrainian folk music. They even got us up dancing at one stage!

There’s a good choice of food and drink on the menu and they do have a QR code on the tables which you can scan to place your order - this is useful as it also has pictures of the dishes so you can see exactly what you’re ordering. I had a stew, some water and a lemonade which came to about 100 lei altogether so not bad.

Some of our group didn’t want to tip (their choice) and our waiter seemed annoyed by this at the end. Overall though, a nice place.

Our tour group ate here. The appetizer tray was good with several items.

From here, it went downhill. The crispy fried chicken was overcooked and no flavor. The accompanying potatoes were good.

The little salad was okay.

The meal ended with a chocolate cherry cake - very tasty.

The live entertainment was interesting. The other musicians were very loud.

Tonight I went out with family and close friends to Hanul lui Manuc, it was a successful evening with very good food and drink.
We thank the waitress Cristina, who served everything impeccably and with a warm and kind smile.
I am not exaggerating when I say that this lady is the best waiter I have ever seen. She was discreet and attentive to all the details. The service was as in the book!
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat good food and to feel spoiled by the staff here.

The menu does not help you a lot if you are not already familiar with the dishes. The waiter was simply terrible and rude, he basically ruined our night out. The food itself was ok, but our moods were already pretty bad when it arrived. We ate, paid and left. Nothing special about the place, it was probably our worst visit in a restaurant while in Bucharest. The girls in the entrance were more friendly but that waiter was bored out of his mind and always seemed annoyed that he had to bring us our food. For anything more than that, it was impossible to get help, the only thing he knew to say was "I dunno" or look at us as if we were stupid.

Just appalling. Service non existent. Wine dumped on table. Only 1 menu between 2. One water glass to share. Waiter totally uninterested in us and we walked out after 40 minutes of trying to order food - interesting to note at least 2 other couples did the same. Avoid.

Used to be my favorite! Been here last year with the same party of friends and had an amazing time, left happy and satisfied! I understand that there is a toll we all need to pay due to inflation and war and whatever, but here, prices went up like 40% at minimum and portions shrinked with at least 30%. Overall a 70% loss for the customer! My understanding is that it was taken over by a bigger chain, hence the downfall in services! Pity, you lost a customer!
