The rating is for 3 stars hotel, do not expect to be something else.
The park location is wonderful, the hotel is small, clean with good size room, good breakfast and very kind staff. What would you need more?
We spent 3 nights and I' d like to return

Stayed here in June for a work seminar with other youth workers and youths in our care. Hotel was clean and tidy, lovely pictureque location but no other amenities around the area; 10/15 min taxi ride away from centre (taxi cost 15L - abou £3.50/£4). Rooms were ensuite with tv, but no tea/coffee facilities but a minibar with a small selection of drinks in, at extra cost. Bed was not comfortable with very hard mattress.
There were wedding parties in the hotel the weekend we stayed and the noise was rocking the building, we only got to sleep at 6am and had to work at 7.30am! Not good for the young people with us.
All in all not a good place to spend a weekend.

We visited the floating bar lounge as the restaurant did not open until 10pm which was a bit late for us. The menu was written in English as well as Romanian so we knew what we were ordering. The food was good but inconsistent. We went two consecutive nights and ordered the same started each time. Completely different to the previous day. Saying that, the food was good although the service was a little odd. On day one I received my main the moment I finished my started. Day two we were waiting ages. A nice meal, reasonably priced but service and meal contents a but irregular.

I am a tour guuide and the company sent me for a night there. My group was staying at hotel Ramada. I checked in on 20th June at 17.15. I tried to connect to internet in the room with my laptop which was impossible. Had a room on the first floor, number 6 - went to the reception with the laptop asking the stuff to help me but the reception girl couldn't. I took a taxi and went to the city for three hours. I was back at 23.00 and found out the window was open, my luggage serached and my laptop ACCER together with the rugsack stolen. Luckily they couldn't find the business money for the trip ... The police came and CSI were busy until 4-5 am, a dog also came. My suggestion - don't stay there, it is not safe, surrounded by this big park where many people walk. The rooms on the first floor are not secured, no bars, no protection. If you don't like airco and you open the window you may end up killed. A bus for a group from New Zeeland was blocking the view of the cameras in the back ... so tell me what is secure and how can you feel safe? There is a door which is always closed separating the reception area and the corridor for the rooms - if you are shouting or something is happening - nobody will hear you. We were with a big bus which couldn't be parked at the parking of the hotel because it was full with private cars of people from Bucarest who were walking in the park. But the guard of the parking I didn't even see for the hours of my stay! I had to leave on 21st June, 2016 at 7.45 leaving behind bad feelings and my bad experiance in this hotel. Please if you choose to stay there - be careful, don't leave anything in the room and don't stay in the rooms on the first floor. It is dangerous!!!! The hotel is not resposible for any robbery...even though the hotel is not fully protected!

We've chosen this hotel for the "remote" location in the heart of the city. Didn't read any reviews before, just went blind. And we were lucky, the location is excellent and the staff very polite and helpful. Big room with balcony, very good bed and pillows, clean room. Safe parking for our car. The position in the middle of Herastrau Park completed our perfect mini-vacation, we were able to take long walks after breakfast and again in the evening.
Front desk very helpful in solving a booking problem (i made a mistake when i filled the form on booking.com) and i wasn't charged for it.
However, in this time of the year (march) there aren't so many people in the park or at the restaurant, nor large meetings (e.g. weddings) so i cannot guarantee for the golden silence in a summer month.
All in all, i am sure to return here.

Took the official airport taxi (car license IF 79 W T X) and the driver wanted 200 RON ($68 USD) to the hotel -- it was not that long a drive. So, I asked the front desk to help intercede and she was NOT helpful whatsoever, even though she knew it was a major ripoff and that the hotel was not far away. Most disappointing and a lousy first impression. She did not want to cause trouble with the driver -- more than helping a customer.
Hotel is nicely located. Room was okay. Night manager only reluctantly got a barking dog to stop after midnight -- in the parking lot outside my room. Possiby an employee's?
Hotel could NOT accept a US credit card (one without a chip) -- lucky I had enough US Dollars to pay the bill.
Overall, disappointing. In a nice park, with a lake. But isolated from food and shopping, etc.
Ride back, on the meter, was 36 RON

This Hotel is situated on the edge of a lake in a great setting although it is a way off the main road. The Hotel has a rather seedy history but has been modernised over the last few years. It boasts as being 3* but I would say that 2* is nearer the mark. The Hotel rooms are clean and basic but comfortable. I experienced 2 main problems:
1) Breakfast was very sparce and the so called hot dishes were stone cold on a couple of the mornings.
2) The public rooms adjacient to the hotel were used for wedding receptions over the weekend that seemed to last until the very small hours. Several members of my party were unable to sleep.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and I can’t fault it at all. We got there two hours before check in and we could go to our room straight away. The room was large with a balcony overlooking the park and water. It was extremely clean and smelt good. When we had a shower the pressure of the water was wonderful. This is something for me that is important in showers! Breakfast was wonderful and down the hall from our room. It is right on the lake and a beautiful stroll around it takes you to the Metro, the Village Museum, parks and ferries. It’s a perfect location to the airport, only approximately 15 minutes. I highly recommend.

I came to stay in Bucharest to see a friend and on a delayed flight. I wanted to stay in Herastrau after seeing it on a map, it seemed like a good landmark, the northernmost of the 3 main parks in the city. It is actually beside a small lake, which takes about 2 hours to complete a circuit around (good for jogging/cycling).
The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and know only a little english (I am from Britain, but trying to learn some Romanian phrases) but just enough to get by. The site is actually within what appears to be a holiday park area, going forward/left of the hotel reception entrance you can find an area frequented by families which has a small funfair and seems very safe during night hours. When I went in early April 2018 it was very hot compared to UK. Temps went from 22*C-30*C.
Previous reviews I saw before I went commented on there being an 'insect problem in all of the rooms - I was refreshed to find that this was no longer true and has been solved, with flysheets on the windows, where can be opened to let cool air in, but insects can't enter. Problem solved. Also 'carpets smelling of cigar smoke' was mentioned in reviews, but I was happy to find that the room I was in smelled clean and fresh throughout my stay, so this too has been fixed, at least from what I saw.
However one issue I would say is the shower doesn't drain fast enough, and you may find yourself laying towels outside the shower (at least in the double room I stayed in) just to soak up water, although I noticed there is a drain behind the toilet, so the bathroom cannot flood, but it seemed odd to me that the water wasn't leaving as fast as in a normal shower.
The area is excellent (although a 10min taxi ride to the centre around 'Old Town') ...you can still walk 15-20mins to the East, and find, (near a couple of skycrapers) the 'Mall Promenada' and also 'Mega Image' which contain all of your shopping needs.
Learn some basic Romanian phrases to get by, such as 'buna'/'vorbesti engleza?'/'mulțumesc!'/'cât e?', some people will appreciate you trying to learn.
Great hotel, glad to see some previous issues were fixed!

Yes you can find it in the closet.
But you can always ask at the reception desk.
I am sorry I can't help you with this kind of info.
There is a boat takes you across the lake to Hard rock cafe etc....but other than that you wil need a taxi.....very reasonable price
