4 star hotel??? Well is located in the center and the price is fantastic. The staff needs more training on daily care, and service.... The room was clean but not in the proper way.... not wearing the protective mask for breakfast service and using the same elevator for staff and clients. I believe that they want to keep the 4 star rate they need a fast refresh on the entire business.

The best thing about this hotel is location. Romana square is not an impressive touristic attraction, but here you have a subway station and a bunch of bus stations. Basically, you can reach any spot in the city by public transportation, while some hot spots like Old City Center are walking distance away. Dozens of pubs, coffee shops and a grocery (Mega Image) are a few steps around. Although the hotel’s building is rather ugly (and has nothing to do with the overall architecture of the place), the rooms are cozy and spotless. We stayed in a suite with king size bed, living room and two bathrooms and it was flawless, without costing a fortune. We didn’t take the breakfast here as there are so many coffee shops in the area, from where one can grab a coffee and a muffin. A strong pro for this hotel is the free private parking, organized in a courtyard at about 50 meters from hotel’s entrance. Just inform the concierge that you want to park your car, so they will open the gate for you. They will not give you a remote control for the parking gates, so anytime you want to move your car in and out you need to inform the reception about. The parking lot is quite large but unfortunately is not very clean, neither well maintained. We arrived in a rainy evening and the parking lot was full of puddles with rubbish here and there floating on stagnant water. I needed to jump between puddles with the umbrella in one hand and the luggage in the other hand all the way out of parking. Not a very welcoming experience but however, this was a minor issue. A free private parking lot in the center of Bucharest is awesome, anyway. All in all, it was a positive experience.

It supplies great turn to the money. The hotel and the rooms are clean. The suites are vast with double shower which makes it fit to 4 adults easily. The staff respond was quick and effective in any appeal. Just across the street you'll find a nice grocery store , a bank and a change within 150m

The hotel is centrally located in a busy street, a bit nosy at night and my room window was facing the roundabout but since my room was on the top floor I had no problems with that. The hotel is cosy, clean and quite modern. Breakfast was simple but sustainable. Staffs were friendly and helpful to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Bucharest. Romania is a beautiful underrated country, lot of things to so and good food. People are nice and speaking English well enough for conversations.

We have just come back from our stay here. Check in was quick and easy. We booked the economy double rooms and were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are very clean and they are cleaned every day. All hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. There is a small breakfast area, breakfast is basic but good. The hotel is in a good location across the road from the metro, ideal for exploring Bucharest. If you come out of the hotel, cross the road and turn right on the same street there is a lovely Romanian restaurant, lovely traditional food and reasonable prices. Would I recommend the Duke?? Most definitely.
