I arrived in the evening and when I got to my room there were no towels. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. I had to wait 15 minutes for towels to arrive, which came in a clean garbage bag. Towels were scratchy, mattress was awful. Wasn't offered help with my bags com

Hi am travelling to hotel Cismigiu next Tuesday 3rd October. Please could you answer a couple of queries I have. There is a lot of conflicting information regarding the currency which is required. Should I take Euros or get RON when in Bucharest? Are Euros generally accepted in shops, etc outside of the hotels. Also, would it be best to tip - e.g. Taxi driver in euros or RON. Please could you advise. Many Thanks
Hello Romania is not a euro country Use of it is really limited Take RON at an atm (airport or city all ok) You can tip a little but no obligation You have to have change for taxi they never take cards and they often never have change

Hi - are there hairdryers in the rooms?
Yes, there are. In mine room I found it in a wardrobe. I just brought it to the bathroom.

Hi there, We're to arrive at the hotel on Friday for a few nights stay. How near the demonstration are you? Is there anything we need to be aware of when we visit?
Hi, The demonstrations appear to be in the main square which is about a mile's walk away from hotel via a large open park at the back of the Palace of Parliament building. There is a lovely park only about 100 yards from the hotel with the same name as the hotel. That said, that area if possible is worth visiting as you can take a tour of the Palace of Parliament. The square had the large Christmas Market on it when we were there. Have a good holiday.

Are the public space such as the restaurant and bar nonsmoking? I am very much interested in this hotel but the description only refers tothe rooms "smoking ad nonsmoking."
They are all non-smoking environments. Since Spring 2016, smoking is prohibited by law in Romania in all public spaces, including bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants, hallways, taxis, even outdoors sometimes (e.g. children playgrounds). Smoking is allowed though in specially designated areas in airports and in open-air terraces of pubs/restaurants. A great hotel with friendly and helpful staff, providing high quality services. Compared to similarly rated hotels, Hotel Cismigiu was my best experience so far in Bucharest.

How do I get to the hotel from the airport?
Good afternoon, The taxi from the airport to the hotel. Inside the Otopeni Airport, upon exiting baggage claim, you turn right and there are machines for taxi. If you go left, there are ATM machines. There are different rates for the taxis. Pick one with around 1.40 lei/km. A piece of paper will print out with the taxi's plate number and approximate arrival time. Hotel is located next to the Cismigiu Park, just under half a Kilometer from the old city center of Bucharest, very nice and safe area to walk. Best regards,
