Is not worth 4 stars this HOTEL. Too much hair everywhere. I found hair in bathroom in my bed even this morning in my mushroom on food. Poor Cleaning. And the room is not worth that money only the view was worth. I never rate any hotel bad but i found a lot of things bad
Hotel with super service. Immaculate rooms, perfect breakfast, super welcome and assisted! Ideally located in the center and public transport nearby. Main sights within walking distance. Thank you Andrei Istrate , ceo hotel Ambasador, and your team.
We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights, As a 4 star hotel. we expected that they will be cleaning the rooms and doing the bed everyday. To our surprise, what they did everyday was empty the trash cans and change the towels. The bed was never done and the room and toilet were never cleaned. When I complained to the Manager, he told me that 4 star hotels in Romania only clean the rooms and change linens every 3 days. I told him that even if they donot change their linens, they should at least make the bed. We stayed at room 703 where the bed was very shaky whenever my wife or I move. I requested for a room change which was never granted. We were promised an upgrade which never happened. Obviously, the upgrade promise was to calm us down from complaining. I do not know this hotel is getting good reviews from booking.com, if only i read reviews from google and tripadvisor, we would not have stayed in this hotel. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the man at the breakfast, Claudio, who served us coffee every morning. Otherwise, the people at reception were rude, as i have read in some of the reviews, one even cannot speak english. I heard that this hotel was very famous during the time of the communist. It is in a very bad state now, lacking in maintenance and probably housekeeping personnel. The hotel is hardly recognizable as a hotel, although it is located along the main road where people are driving like crazy. I want to thank the Manager, Vlad, for allowing us to check out late since our flight was at 7pm and also for his quick response to my complaints and requests which were merely excuses and apologies. If you are staying for 1 night, i believe there will be no problem but if you are staying longer, i think you should book another hotel. This hotel is in a very bad state now, gloomy and dark, no restaurants, gym and view deck closed. With the present condition of the hotel, i can only presume that they will be closing down soon. This is a very honest review of this hotel.…
I was traveling on business, so the Hotel location was one of the reasons I picked Hotel Ambasador. You can also get easier to great places for dinner in a 10/15 minutes walking. The common areas cleaning may have been what I experienced as not so good, considering its a 4* Hotel. The room was good, comfortable enough and the personal was quite friendly and enjoyable.
Wonderful personnel. Very helpful, professional and always willing to accommodate your requirements. Location-wise - it's situated very central, easy to walk around and explore the core of Bucharest. The hotel also offers breakfast. Great buffet, exceptional service, wonderful personnel. I truly recommend this place.
Excellent quality services, friendly staff, clean rooms. Although located in a crowded area, the rooms are quiet. The building is a historic one, built in the interwar period, located on Magheru Boulevard, a short distance from the Romanian Athenaeum and the Royal Palace, in an area with great tourist potential.
Me and my girlfriend arrived on the 9th of January where we stayed till the 13 of January. We had the check-in done by Razvan at the Front Office. He is friendly and approachable, and he brings great value to the organization. We thank you very much. Another thing that we enjoyed is the helpfulness, and profesionalism of the House Keeping. Disliked · 1-st thing that clouded the experience was that the glass installed on the bathtub to prevent water from splashing all over is too short and the water pressure on the shower is very high. As a result, there was a flood every time we did a shower. 2- Me and my girlfriend wanted to have a glass of wine at the 11th floor wine bar in our last night in Bucharest. The person at the reception was called Radu i think (he has a tattoo on his wrist). I asked him if we need to make a reservation, or if he has a menu that we can check before. Instead of making a minimum of effort to do his job and be more friendly, he told me that he sees the waiter on the CCTV , and that we can ask him additional information. 3-We went to the 11th floor on the 12 of January at around 20.30 , picked up a table, and the waiter gave us the menus. Me and my girlfriend were looking at the selection of wines and the waiter started presenting the wines, STATING the fact that the wines are from Romanian vineyards and that, and i quote " these wines are all about quality not quantity, and that they adress to a special type of people" When i heard this, i saw black, but i didn't want to make a scandal with the waiter in front of my girlfriend, in my native language ( Romanian), since it was our last night in Bucharest and i didnt want to ruin our night. What type of people do those wines adress to, pal? Don't you think that if we can afford to stay at the hotel, we can afford to pay for the wine as well ? And another thing, i don't know where you worked before, but it is very unprofessional to say things like this to the clients, even if we were walk-ins. You should have just minded your own business and do the job that you are put there to do, and from which you are receiving your salary. YOU ARE THERE TO SERVE DRINKS, that is your role there, not to make useless statements. If i would be your manager, i would have ended your contract for this misconduct.…
I stayed at the hotel in June 2019 for a business trip. Spaceous rooms. Best rooftop bar in Bucharest! Very enjoyable winetasting. General manager and staff were very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel!
The hotel is situated in the city center and it was full when I was there in a weekend- I've stayed Teo nights. The rooms are clean, friendly staff. The only thing I didn't like that there is one coffe machine, but the breakfast was good and different
The check in was good. The parking is behind the hotel, according that Magheru is a large boulevard, you will have to turn the vehicle and to lose 15-20 minutes, so try to take it in advance to George Enescu street, cross Magheru and then turn left. Then you will see the sign with the hotel's parking. The room is nice, with a view on Bucharest.
