Awful hotel. Amenities of 3 stars hotel with a price of 5 stars hotel. The room is full of dust and the air conditioner doesn’t work. As I ask the staff about the reason for that, I was answered that it is because of economical reasons that they decided to turn off the chillers!!! To pay more than 300$ per night and to sleep with a fan is a big shame!!!

Dear Guest, We truly regret to read your experience while you were staying in our hotel over New Year's Eve. Although our team tried to assist you, it seems we unfortunately did not succeed in meeting your expectations. As many parts of Europe, the outside temperatures in December were very mild. As we had colder weather during December, our HVAC system was set up for heating. During your stay, you requested to have the room at a lower temperature point. We offered to shut down the ventilation and open the windows, to cool the room. We do apologize that you still felt that the room was too warm and that the solution provided was not suitable. We will improve on our offering and hope that next time you return to the Athenee Palace you enjoy a better stay next time you visit Bucharest. Kind regards, Nicolaas Houwert General Manager
