Okay, we were here for 10 days in July. I will start with the positives and then other areas that could be improved.
The room that we stayed in was big and airy, good air-conditioning, clean, I can see that the tranzzit hotel are making improvements i.e. new bathrooms, clean and modern. Night staff was friendly quite close to old town, €3 in an Uber, which I thought was great value.. sidenote, Ubers are cheap and reliable in Bucharest.
Some of the day staff tried to be friendly but lack of English made it hard to communicate.
Now onto the not so positive where the hotel is situated. There is a lack of restaurants and local amenities.
The rooms :
Simple thing, like a waste paper bin in your room. There was none. Also, we did not have a wardrobe in our room where we could hang or clothes are clothes had to stay mostly in our suitcases. or hung over a chair and we had a bracelet and a brand-new top go missing from our room. I did report it but nothing was done.. there is no coffee making facilities in your room or or a place in the hotel where you could get a coffee we had to take an Uber into old town. One particular member of the reception staff treated the hotel home from home. She was never behind the reception. She was always in the lounge area smoking drinking coffee and she had a dog that would bark at you. You always felt that if you had to ask her a question that you were interrupting her conversation with her male friend or interrupting her on her mobile, very unprofessional. And the stink of smoke through the hotel wasn’t nice either.
This is an honest and fair view of the tranzzit hotel.

I was very bad experience. Firsts of all went we arrived even though the girl at the reception said our room was ready it wasn’t we didn’t had toilet paper and the soap were already used we had to ask for new one and we had to ask everyday for a new toilet paper because the cleaner was not an option. Second we room was cold and you couldn’t use the A/C because you had to pay extra for it. Also even though we didn’t had a cleaner all this day some how our iron for the hair is missing they still out iron. It was one of the worst places I have ever been.

I want to write this review because I honestly had a great time there. The hotel is lovely! The area is so peaceful and the staff is so friendly, helpful and really cute. I loved the rooms the most; very spacious, warm, nicely decorated and always clean. I recommend it and I will return to whenever I get the chance.

While I do understand this hotel offers a good value for the money, having cockroaches in the room is an absolute no-no. I've encountered them in my first, third and fourth (and last) night there. Reported to the reception on the third night, but they didn't handle the problem. My friends didn't have the same problem in their room, it seems. Rooms were warm, which is important if you visit Bucharest in winter. The hotel itself is decent, staff was generally helpful. We were surprised too see a simple breakfast buffet prepared for us (croissants, coffee, milk, corn flakes, fruits), although we haven't payed for a breakfast option. The hotel has a friendly attitude to animals - there are pet turtles and a cute stray cat is allowed to inhabit the halls. The neighborhood is a bit suspicious looking, because there are a lot of abandoned buildings around, but in a few days you realize that's how neighborhood in Bucharest look in general.

We are really sorry to see you didn't enjoy your stay in our hotel. Indeed we had some issues with roaches, due to the piping system on our block. We addressed those issues and we are happy to report you that we no longer have those problems. We invite you to come and see for yourselves. Just mention your name when you book and we offer you a free night in our hotel.

This Hotel is a little gem, it is on a backstreet a bit far from all the main entertainment areas, but thats a good thing and the taxis are cheap
The rooms are spotless, large bed and very comfortable
For Kebab lovers there is a local Kebab shop just around the corner and they are excellent and cheap, large chicken kebab, chips and a large tin of beer for less than 4 euros ! Its been my local !
Back to the Hotel, the staff are all very friendly and most are fluent english
I can definately recommend this hotel to anyone, on a budget or not !
John

We stayed here in early September for one night, choosing it for it's close proximity to the train station and it's price (we were on a budget!). The room we stayed in was very big, clean and comfortable, with a good sized and clean bathroom. The staff were always really sweet and friendly. I'd totally recommend this if you are on a budget and want to stay on a quiet sidestreet.

The breakfast bit of the B&B was pretty basic though, packaged croissants and a pot of coffee.

I'm afraid that I wouldn't visit Hotel Tranzzit again in a hurry.

We arrived late on a Sunday night to be told by the receptionist that there wasn't anywhere in the area where we could eat and our only option would be to order a pizza online. This was not an easy task but we managed it. When we left the hotel the next day we found a Kebab shop 2 mins round the corner and a steak house 10 mins from the hotel so that was pretty annoying.

The room was warm but too warm in fact! Tried to put air con on but it was very noisy. Tried to open window but the noise from outside was really loud.
Light in bathroom and two side lights didn't work. Lights that did work weren't very good. The red lampshades made it look like the red light district.
Handrail in the bathroom fell off. The shower didn't have a hook to place the shower head, so I had to hold the shower while washing my hair which was annoying. Reception will provide you with a hairdryer but it's only a small one and over heats and stops working after 2 mins. Our room was never cleaned and we never received fresh towels.
The bed was very uncomfortable, I could feel the springs in the mattress.

The breakfast is very basic.

The area isn't great. I never felt unsafe but it's very quiet and there isn't much to do in the area. Walking back to the hotel from the Metro every night I never saw one person which I thought was odd.

The hotel was very clean.
