It’s a solid 4 star hotel. Location is quite convenient too. We loved the decor and interior of this place. Many artworks around (some of which you can actually purchase), bright colors, eccentric setting - we like to stay in original hotels like that. Our room was very clean and nice. The only thing is that the shower was impossible to regulate for a balanced good temperature- it was either going too hot or too cold. Not sure if it’s just our room or the shower equipment in general. The buffet breakfast was not impressive and so super busy. Also, the door right in the middle of the dining was being constantly used by smokers and in February it was cold and you could feel the smoke too. We didn’t even come back to have breakfast the next day (we stayed two nights). The front desk was not very welcoming when we were checking in but when we were checking out the attitude was much friendlier and more polite. The highlight of this hotel for me was the doorman (unfortunately I forgot his name). He saw we were kind of ignored and waited for a long time to check in and he approached us and helped us with luggage (we needed to store it because we arrived earlier than the allowed time to get the room). After we came back he took our luggage upstairs to the room and showed how the elevator worked. This is a good hospitality and professionalism that I respect. …
This is a nicely decorated and clean hotel but it stops there. The website stares 2 restaurants, there is one. It states that there is a Spa, that wasn’t there either. The staff, it seems like they are there because they have to be. Cold, unfriendly and no help whatsoever to tourist who are visiting and need help with directions etc. The swimming pool out there back, looks like it was created by a bomb during the war and has not changed since. No water and a bomb site. I could go on but I’ll get depressed.
Stayed for two nights in this newly refurbished city hotel. It is located in the center of the city. The receptionist was professionally friendly, but in a way that made you feel it is just her business. Even though the rooms are really nice, WiFi quick and stable (even in the rooms, for free) and the breakfast is decent, the overall experience left a subtle note of not being welcomed as a guest. For example, the staff at the breakfast room was mostly chit-chatting amongst themselves and only caring about cleaning up or refilling, when it was absolutely needed. I might be a bit spoiled here but isn't a Hotel supposed to make you _feel_ as a guest? So, it's definitely a hotel to be recommended for a city trip for a couple nights, but don't expect to be warmly welcomed.
Only spent one night but the hotel was beautiful, our room had a fantastic view of the city with no extra charge . Staff so friendly and helpful . Quite central to main attractions would definatly stay at this hotel again , absolute gem
I stayed at this hotel in December before Christmas while everything was beautifully decorated for the holidays. I love everything about this hotel. The location is perfect, the lobby and the general decor is absolutely beautiful and brings such a sophisticated touch to the city's atmosphere. The elevator and floors are so precious and make the whole hotel so special. Even walking up and down the staircases is meaningful. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are modern which is important. The breakfast also has everything you could want, including some Romanian specialties and an incredible street view. Overall, this is easily in my top 3 favorite hotels in Bucharest.
