My husband and I stayed two nights in this hotel during our trip to Bucharest from 11 to 13 February, booking directly from their site as the price was lower than other sites and for two nights with breakfast in a deluxe room with balcony we had paid €210. The hotel is located right in the historic center, an excellent position for moving around and visiting the various attractions. I had read several negative reviews but based on my experience I can't say anything other than that it was a good choice in many respects. If I really have to find a flaw, check in at 3pm in my opinion is too late for those arriving on a morning flight, it's true that they can keep their luggage but it's really late at 3pm. The main entrance is on the river side and has a second exit/entrance at the back right on the street in the center where the various restaurants are located, with access via bell. The welcome was excellent thanks to a lady who managed check in. The hall is small but welcoming, next to it there is a lounge, our room number 107 was located on the first floor (there is also an elevator). Very large room with balcony overlooking the back of the hotel and the main street of the historic center, a bed with memory mattress and duvets, wardrobe with slippers and safe, large flat screen TV (you can watch RaiUno and RaiTre), a mirror large, small table with two chairs and desk. There is also a stocked minibar (it's a shame not to make two bottles of free water available to the customer), and a kettle for tea/coffee. The bathroom is quite large with sink, toilet and bathtub with shower, towels and courtesy kit, hairdryer. Warm and welcoming room, clean and soundproofed, we had no noise problems. Wi-fi present and functional. Breakfast is served on the first floor in a room that is not very large but functional. There is a buffet with many savory things (cold cuts, cheeses, eggs etc..) and a sweet part, let's say that the commitment is there, then you can't expect it to be an Italian breakfast but you can find fresh fruit, jam, Nutella, bread etc. The freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juices are very good. A machine for hot water, coffee and cappuccino is available. Welcoming and kind staff. Near the hotel, small shop to buy water or essentials, money exchange, restaurants, Unirii metro station. So I have to say that our stay went very well and I was happy with the choice we made. Advised.

The hotel is very nice and during the Christmas period it is very themed so that you can breathe in the Christmas air. The staff is really kind and friendly, ready to accommodate every request. The room is entirely carpeted but even though I have allergy problems I didn't smell the dust at all. The room was spotless and very warm given the outside temperatures. Every day the carpets were vacuumed, our beds were made and our towels changed. The bathroom was small but had everything you needed. The breakfast was really good with every type of dish, from sweet to savory. The location is truly excellent because it is located in the center of the city, more precisely in the old part full of clubs and restaurants. The only flaw is that our room overlooked the road along the river, which was very busy as a view, but at night, as at any time of the day, it was always busy, so the noise of the cars could be heard even at night , sirens and horns. I'm a heavy sleeper so with the tiredness accumulated during the day I was able to sleep anyway, my boyfriend struggled a little more. Despite this I would recommend it to anyone. Given the general reviews of the other dirty hotels, I would say that there are no comparisons on this one.

Me and my wife came here on our honeymoon, to try the welcoming and warm romanian costumes we heard about.

This hotel was nothing short of that, helping us every step of the way on whatever we needed - far beyond what we would expect from any hotel on our travels.

Providing us information on which banks and exchange terminals would be closer, on which restaurants they would recommend us (and that accepted payments by physical card, which was a big help!), and even preparing a special breakfast before their opening time, so that we could go on a tour around Sinaia, Bran and Braşov early in the morning - that was above and beyond our expectations.

There is not one thing we could find to complain about the hotel - we always felt that we could find someone at the door to help us, the environment was very clean and cozy, and the rooms were warm and familiar.

I highly recommend anyone that might be thinking about staying in Bucharest to stay at the Old Concorde. It is a beautiful, warm place, with warm hearted people to help us in what was a very cold place at the time.

Do NOT pre-book and pay extra for a Superior room with a balcony because you think you will get one with a wrought iron frame overlooking the street below so you can watch the world go by as advertised on the web page
Nope we got one with a 5foot high by 3foot wide wall with absolutely no view at all
We informed reception straight away and was told it would be looked into the following day, until the following day came then was told there was nothing available unless we paid an extra charge, as I thought we had been taken advantage of already we declined the offer and asked to see the manager but he was unavailable until Monday our departure day
Asked for a refund we paid for the balcony but that fell on deaf ears
Every time I spoke to somebody at reception it was a different person so felt our issue was just forgotten about after each persons shift
Always disappointed in not getting what you pay for but the way it was handled felt like we were just getting played until we left

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. Our balcony rooms are not all the same, if you check all the pictures you will see all types, we are sorry you got mislead by the first picture. Hope to see you again soon. Well located hotel with large clean rooms. Strange then that bathroom was so small and toilet squeezed in so close to the shower that it was difficult to sit down. Likewise breakfast room was so small that if one person was at the buffet no one else could get in. Shower on 3rd floor was a trickle of cold water. Fix these small but irritating issues and it would be a lot better.

The location couldn’t have been better! Nestled right in the heart of Old Town Bucharest it was just steps away from top attractions and vibrant cafes, and restaurants. This made exploring the area so convenient; we were able to walk everywhere, which was a huge plus.

The hotel itself is well-maintained, with friendly staff who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Our room was cozy, clean, and offered a lovely balcony. Amenities were top-notch, including Wi-Fi.

Breakfast each morning was a delightful start to the day, with a wide variety of fresh, local options. We also appreciated the hotel’s quiet ambiance, allowing for restful nights even in such a bustling part of town.

Overall, this hotel is an excellent choice for anyone looking to stay in a fantastic location with easy access to all the city has to offer. Would definitely stay here again!

For most people Concorde Old Bucharest Hotel is likely to be a sensible choice, particularly if their sleep is not affected by night-long loud electronic music from a neighboring establishment: Good location, clean and comfortable rooms, good breakfast, (payed) parking, helpful staff (particularly the breakfast room staff), gym.

The hotel is less suitable for older people and people with limited mobility: First and foremost, the hotel entrance, located on the first floor, is only accessible from the street level by stairs. Secondly, the access to the shower, which is located in a bath tube, is challenging and unsafe. Finally, the bath tube- shower walls have no safety bars.

Of course, both problems could be easily solved by installing an elevator and replacing the bath tubes with simple showers. Until then, it would be only fair to warn potential guests.

So, having read previous reviews, I was a little apprehensive about noise. The hotel is in the Old Town, where all the clubs and bars are. However, I was relieved that the noise was minimal and my room was facing the Old Town.
The hotel is clean, my room was very big and had a lovely balcony. Breakfast was basic but you won't go hungry, and the food is fresh.
Location was fantastic, and as a solo female traveller, I felt very safe walking around even in the evening.
I didn't interact too much with the hotel staff as I was out and about most of the time. But when I did, from reception, breakfast room and to the ladies who cleaned my room, everyone was so helpful and friendly.
Can't fault the hotel, and if I am ever back in Bucharest, I would book this hotel again.

We had a lovely stay in this hotel. Both receptionists were the nicest people we met in Bucharest. They were very helpful and polite. We had a room looking over the Justice Palace with a beautiful balcony. The room was very comfortable. We very much enjoyed the breakfast. The food was delicious and there were many options to choose from. The location is right in the heart of Old Town, yet you don't experience any noise from the restaurants or bars. Definitely will book again and recomend it our friends and family.

Lovely staff and lovely hotel, booked for a couple of nights stay while we visited the Christmas market. Ideally located for the Christmas market and a wander around the city. Close to shops and food outlets.
Hotel was clean and well maintained. If you’re looking to park a car the car park is quite small, and is an extra charge. We found Uber to be reasonable and easily accessible.
Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold options, accompanied by juice and coffee machine.
We stayed in room 312 and would advise ear plugs for anyone who likes an early night, as others have mentioned in their reviews the hotel is near to restaurant and bars, the sound proofing in the room was not great, and there was music playing very loudly from one of the bars until well past 3am.

Overall the staff were friendly, room was spacious and clean and the hotel was well located within the city.
