Poor cleaning service and everything from the mini-bar was expired! In the “restaurant” the only option for coffee was “black coffe” no milk and staff also not helpful at all. We wait 20 min outside at the front door and no one came to welcome us.
I don't recommend this hotel, after a recent unpleasant experience, when I booked and put down a payment for a sauna 2 weeks earlier. In the evening of the event, we found ourselves that our place has been taken away from us, by another group under obscure conditions. The hotel's stuff and manager were non-cooperating and tried to get rid of us proposing us a worse offer.
Positive. Strange address, but if you come by car, it doesn't matter much. There were some little issues with using the swimming pool, but in the end I could go and enjoy it all by myself, which was awesome. The room and the bed were just perfect. The staff was really nice and helpful (and beautiful ;))! Acceptable minibar prices. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you.
From the pictures on the website this hotel looked a lovely place to stay for 8 nights during our annual visit to Moldova especially as it was August and it had an outdoor pool. (Not many hotels in Chisinau have them). Airport collection was 300 lei a little on the high side (usually 100 lei) Upon on arrival we found the carpeting on the steps leading to the entrance thread bare and potentially a nasty trip hazard. The entrance is very dark and old fashioned. We were placed in a room on the 3rd floor (no lift). The door to the room opened outwards at the top of the stairs which also was potentially dangerous and it was so close to the edge of the stairs no more than 5 inches. The room again was dark, bathroom small but acceptable. But terrible noise all night from the mini fridge and air conditioning unit. At breakfast no staff spoke or welcomed you, average breakfast. The sun lounges were so close to the pool edge again very dangerous. We paid for our room (1) night and left that day. The young girl on reception asked why we wanted to leave and when we explained the only thing she said was unplug the fridge and switch the air con off ... very helpful (NOT) especially in 33 degrees heat. No offer to move rooms and No assistance with luggage or offer to call a taxi. - Says 5 - 10 minute walk to city centre this is incorrect it may be a 5 - 10 min walk to get a tram or mini bus to the city centre is at least 20mins away. I would not recommend this hotel.…
Billed as a 4 star hotel, it's more like a 3 star UK one. There's nothing wrong with it, cheap enough and serves a purpose, but don't expect anything out of the ordinary. It's about a 20 minute walk (uphill) to the centre or, if you get one of the many unscrupulous taxi drivers we encountered, a 150 Lei fare (order from the hotel and it's no more than 20). Rooms are comfortable, despite ours (303) not having a window, but the shower room was definitely in need of modernising. Be aware that there is also a building site to the rear of the building which creates a lot of noise. On the plus side, the staff are really friendly and helpful.
I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights in a business trip. Hotel is offering a transfer from the airport to the hotel (needs to be payed cash on the arriving to the hotel). Hotel looks well, with new furniture and nice looking rooms. Room was clean and was maintain clean on daily basis. I will also mention nice and friendly staff. I got a nice room with a comfortable for sleeping bed. In the room I got a free WiFi, a minibar, a big flat TV set. Room got also air conditioner. I had a breakfast included in room price. Hotel is away from the downtown, but it is not difficult to reach downtown even by walking about 20 minutes. I enjoyed staying in this hotel.
We visited Kishinev to see family that lives there. Choose location because its close to our main point of interest such as just several trolleybus stops from area of Center, Rishkni and Checan neighborhoods which located in a different directions. I need to say that it was great decision. Upon arrival we were greeted by Tatiana. She show me our room. It was on the second floor and I upgraded to the first one since there no elevator and we have a lot of luggage. If you have issue with mobility I need to worn you that there is many stair there. Otherwise no other issues. We arrived late and at approximately 12 O'clock realized that we hungry. It was late but luckily Irina was available at their restaurant at this time and made us local placindas which taste great. I need to thank her for that and for morning coffee I got every morning there with her smile. All staff members were excellent and helpful, I remember Natalia, Galina. Unfortunately we arrived after major snowstorm in April and cant use there pool and outside area but I feel that in summer time it can be a plus. Rooms were comfortable, they clean and change towels everyday. I feel like for the price paid it was a great deal. Please see pictures because they will tell you more. Hotel located about 50 meters from road where you can jump on transport to point of your interest, change money, go to another restaurant if you need to. Hotel have WIFI and connection was good during stay. Hotel has parking. Wish you have a great stay in Kishinev.…
Everything was perfect. I stayed here for 4 nights. Very comfortable rooms, warm and equipped with everything you need. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast but the same every day. I will definitely come back here the next time I visit Chisinau.
Chisinau seems to have a dearth of mid-range accommodations. Shadow Boutique Hotel isn't that far from the center, about three or four (cheap!) trolley (or tram) stops. While our room was fine and the breakfast very good, we were left with a bad feeling given a series of non-straightforward maneuvers on their part regarding our booking. (Made on a different site.) The hotel is initially hard to find. Best to have any driver call ahead. There is no elevator/lift and lots of weirdly uneven stairs.
We stayed 2 nights at the shadow hotel, we knew it was about a 10 minute walk into town so that was no surprise. The first thing I will say is that the staff (especially Natalia) were fantastic arranging transfers, transport, restaurants and information. We primarily booked here because it had a spa and we could book a room with a jacuzzi. The spa was a bit of a disappointment in so far as the indoor pool was cold and you couldn't just walk into the sauna as you had to give notice - perhaps because it was out of season. The rooms (we stayed in 201 in a deluxe room) were spacious, clean, not decorated to our taste but with a huge and fantastic jacuzzi bath. Although it's close to the main roads we slept very well with no outside noise. The breakfast, again not to our taste and with a small selection, but happy to bring you speciality coffee etc at no extra cost. We ate out when staying the and the staff are good to recommend, we at at the penthouse restaurant in the park and popasul dacilor (both I would highly recommend, if not a little expensive for Moldova). Overall if we were to visit chisinau again I would recommend here…
