A great location in the heart of Zagreb and a fine old building. The rooms are a little old fashioned and the aircon looks to be from around 1955 ! The room we had was need of a good clean which was disappointing. The sleep experience is good. Be warned this hotel has no elevators and the staff will not help with bags. Breakfast is to be avoided.
I stayed weeks at Jagerhorn and can therefore claim intimate knowledge of the hotel, its services and staff. I have rarely come across such a wonderful mix of professionalism and friendliness in what must be the perfect location in Zagreb. The hotel has a lovely terrace for breakfast and the entrance courtyard is lined with specialist boutique shops making for the perfect ambience to have an evening drink from the discreetly placed bar (full of interesting memorabilia and books). Quite unique. I keep coming back for stays lasting weeks since the staff (Franka, Cristina, Nina, Morana, Angela and Ante and, not least, Denis the owner) all make me feel super welcome-each with their individual style. All conversations turn out to be enlightening and entertaining. An ode to Jagerhorn, I know, but well-deserved…
The location was central and afforded us the chance to pop back easily from stops in town. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We chose this as it was central, and for that we were glad. It is a small hotel and the staff members were warm and friendly. Internet was spotty from the room, but fine at breakfast on the patio. The bed was much firmer than we liked, but they had squishy pillows, which were great. If you are here on a weekend night, we recommend asking for a room that faces the back patio, as the noise from the center walkway and street is pretty loud. Friday night there was a VERY loud, pounding dance club/home? That went until 2 am and it was literally on top of the roof from a neighboring property, about 75 feet from our window. Do recommend a deep cleaning of the carpets. I would give this a 3.5, as it was better than average, but I am pretty finicky about a good night’s sleep and noise.…
If you want to experience a moment in the historic part of the city, this hotel is the right place. A quiet corner in the center of Zagreb. The hotel is located in a building that is part of the old historic city center. The terrace which is an integral part of the restaurant is beautiful. Staff friendly and accommodating.
Great location on the Main Street with stairs to upper street. Taxi/Uber can drop you off close to the entrance, with a 5 minute walk to the door. With no elevator you will need to carry your luggage up the stairs. We stayed in the apartment which had great space to unpack and relax, and a separate room to sleep. I traveled with my Mum and sister and we all comfortably fit in the massive bed! (Not that we needed to, there were two couches in the lounge area that doubled as beds.) Our room was quite dark, might have been the location of the suite and the tilted windows. We enjoyed complimentary breakfast in the morning, had it been sunny we would have spent it outdoors on their beautiful terrace.
An oasis right off the main street, main square and next to the old town. The staff were always pleasant and very helpful. But the room was outdated and breakfast was disappointing - limited selection. But there was a beautiful outdoor terrace .
Really loved this hotel. The location can't get any better. Close to everything. Well connected by tram as well. The rooms were surprisingly spacious by European standards. Good bed and excellent linen. They also free parking nearby. The only thing I didn't like much was the breakfast. The orange juice and coffee was excellent and it stops there. Lot of scope for improvement there
We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights upon our arrival in Croatia and again on our last night. The level of service from the hotel was exceptional. My daughter lost her mobile phone in the taxi we took to get to the hotel and the girl at the desk was amazing in helping us to get it back! The hotel's location can not be beaten! they are in the heart of the city with easy access to everything! Having said that you need to take into consideration that the street in front of the hotel is not accessible to cars and therefore you need to walk to get to it which is not always easy if you have a lot of luggage. It also does not have an elevator. They arranged for a taxi to be waiting for us at the airport which cost only 110kn as they have an agreement with the taxi company. It was the same upon our departure we took a taxi from the hotel to the airport and it only cost 100kn. If you rent a car the hotel offers free parking for the guests.…
Great location. Beautiful interior. Very friendly staff. Clean, soft, easy, cosy, homelike place. This is originally hotel from 1827 and it was renovated 10 years ago in classic modern syle. Heart of Zagreb in every way. Peaceful place in middle of city.
Hotel Jagerhorn is oasis of Zagreb, great interior, breakfast, cafe... time stops there. Located by the hill, with internal waterfall and quiet rooms. Hotel is not by the main street - nice internal square is a barrier to noise - so you dont have a feeling to be by main street.
