We loved this hotel. It sits on the main shopping street but backs up to a hillside park with a lovely terrace restaurant, a walking trail through the trees up to the oldest part of town, and large rooms with nicely updated bathrooms. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive. Our room came with an excellent hot breakfast.
I stayed at this hotel in September and everything the about the hotel and my stay was great. Davo, the other front desk personnel, the bar tenders and breakfast staff (sorry I can't remember all your names) all made me feel very welcome and went out of their way to make sure my stay was as good as it could be. They gave me all the help I wanted, and some I didn't know I wanted, to ensure I made the most of my visit to Zagreb. My only concern about recommending this hotel to other people is that they may not have a room for me when I plan to return. Kevin from England/USA
Had a wonderful stay at this historic hotel. Hotel is a small, clean, comfortable, boutique hotel. It is very modern/up-to-date, but with an old historic charm. Perfectly located just steps from everything, but tucked far enough back from the main streets that it is also quiet. The cafe and the bar were also very nice. Hotel staff was very pleasant throughout our stay. Parking for our rental car was very easy to find, and from there the hotel was easy to walk to. I would highly recommend staying here and would stay here again if given the opportunity.
We stayed at Hotel Jagerhorn during Advent 2019, upon our return to Zagreb (2nd stay as part of 2 week trip). The service at this hotel is great. Seeing that there is no elevator, the front desk team brought our luggage to our room. The room was nice sized, for 2 of us - king sized bed. (My mom had a great sized single room). Loved the location, right on Illica, just steps from the main Trg in the heart of Zagreb. Cute little cafe right in the lobby. The 2 biggest drawbacks; 1. breakfast. OK. Wasn't thrilled. We didn't leave hungry, but wished there were more protein/egg options. 2. Hot water. When we arrived we were informed that they had been fixing an issue with the hot water system. That was early afternoon. The next morning, we still had cool to luke warm water for showers. After my husband had a chilly shower, per his opinion, I chose not to attempt one. As with all rooms we stayed in, during our Advent trip 2019, we could not control the temperature of the room. It was hot. Thankfully we could crack open the window for some air. Since we were on the 'first' floor we didn't leave it open over night. I would recommend this hotel, and would be willing to give it a second stay.…
Very pleasant and enjoyable stay at this hotel during our vacation in Croatia. We found this hotel in the Rick Steves Croatia Guide and it lived up to expectations. Pros: - Staff was friendly, professional, and very informative - Rooms were pleasant, nicely decorated, with comfortable beds - Location is perfect; off of a small alleyway that leads to the main street and just around the corner from the central square - Breakfast was lovely and we were able to sit outside in the garden area. - Free parking available right around the corner but recommend that you call ahead for directions Cons: - Slightly difficult to find so I recommend contacting the hotel ahead of time Strongly recommend this hotel
