Very, very good service in a beautifully kept old apartment block right in the centre of Old Zagreb. The manager/owner, Irene, went out of her way to help us and provided very interesting history of Croatia and Zagreb. Irene also provided good advice for local cafés and restaurants. The rooms were spotless and looked over a busy vibrant street. Noise could be reduced to almost nil by closing window and switching on the air/con. Thank you.
We stayed here for a night, then returned a week later. Great central location. The area is buzzing with life but the soundproofing is good. Irena the proprietor is very helpful. She gave us good recommendations for restaurants and guides to the city. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well appointed.
Spacious, clean and well appointed rooms in a great central location. Good value and a really helpful, pleasant hostess, Irena who went above and beyond ( sourced parking, suggested good places to eat and visit ) for us made this a delightful place to stay in central Zagreb. I wouldn’t go anywhere else 👍🏻
Great apartments in a great location. Owner was really helpful and supportive through out the stay and in planning forward travel. Rooms were big and with excellent finishes, really comfortable. One warning cash only but plenty of ATM near by.
We loved the central pedestrian zone location of the rooms. Lots of activity on the street yet we were able to close the windows and sleep well. Irena is a very professional, hands on manager. She gladly arranged for Covid tests for us so we could fly back home. The room was immaculate and comfortable.
This place has the best location right in the heart of the street that has all the bars and restaurants at the same time you don’t get noises from the street the way the building is located the rooms are very quiet. The room was sparkling clean and very beautifully decorated. The host was awesome, the communication was fantastic, and the check-in checkout was very smooth. I highly recommend this place.
My favorite hotel. I am so glad we booked this hotel. The location is amazing. We had the deluxe double room that looked out on Tkalciceva. With the windows closed you couldn’t hear any ‘road’ noise aka people walking around having a nice fun evening. Comfortable bed, good water pressure, lovely host, and fun art. Wish it had an extra towel for my hair (non-issue).
The rooms are beutiful and very clean. The views are lovely and even though it is very close to a busy street it does not gets noisy at night. The location could not be better. The hostess was really helpful and even offered us a complimentary room upgrade. I would love to go back here!
An amazing location in the Upper (old) Town located in a pedestrian area except for residents' cars (so very quiet other than church bells). Only a few minutes walk down to Ban Jelačić Square (main square). Room was extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped (Smeg bar fridge, kettle, cutlery and crockery). Comfortable bed and good water pressure! Walking distance to a great many historical sites but if you cannot manage the uphill trek, head down to the main square, turn right and walk about 250 metres and there's a funicular that will take you up and then it's a downhill stroll for the return. For great eats, turn left after leaving Rooms 17, then take the first left and you hit an area full of cafes and restaurants. Take the same direction (it's marked), particularly on a Saturday, and you will come to the Dolac Marke. On the Saturday it's in full swing with with farmers selling fruit and veg and there's hand-made cheese, dried fruit and nuts etc while inside meat and fish. The flower market is down the steps towards the main square. If you are looking for a supermarket there are a couple of small ones in the sqaure (Diona), if you head past Mullers and follow the street around there's Konzum, and a little further on there's a Spar (all easy walking distance). Coffee everywhere! The host is wonderful and will fill you in on sites to visit. In terms of getting there, it's about a 15-20 min walk from the train station but the #6 tram (buy a ticket from a newspaper kiosk for 4 kuna - less than $1) will drop you at the main square and walk up from there (street is to the left of the pharmacy and a burger place). Cab rides (Croatia has Uber so use it!) are more challenging as it's pedestrian only. If you are coming from the airport, hindsight suggests a better option is make sure you have directions before you arrive, and get dropped at the main square (there is accommodation there so not an odd request) and then walk the few minutes up. In all, a really great option that is a much better option than a hotel.…
Great location, wonderfully maintained rooms, clean and tidy find managed by Irena made our trip to Zagreb incredible. We had Irena arrange airport transfers which worked out well. Irena is great host and always available by text, phone or email to assist with anything during the stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Irena!
