Hotel is on a walk distance from the center of the city. All employees are very kind and helpful. The parking lot is located within the hotel and surrounding buildings and is not on the street. The rooms are smaller (I don't know about all of them) but they are very clean and tidy. Breakfast is nice and correct.

It's solid hotel with 3 stars only stayimg, for the one night stand. If you want to stay more and u emergency need internet connecntion, better go to another place. Minus is a very bad Wi-Fi. Bed is uncomfrotabale, breakfast is quite good. Price is okay for all that you can get.

The interiors seemed rather old-fashioned, but they were very clean and comfortable. The hotel offers money exchange at honest rates.

The meals were ok - rather plain, decent quality, and orders of magnitude better than what we were served in other hotels during our trip.

We came to see our team West Ham United play Dinamo Zagreb. We were a group of nine people and had various rooms. My room was fine for what I needed - a clean bed and shower. But it was sweltering hot. The air con didn’t work so I had the window wide open all night, which didn’t make much difference.
The breakfast was fine, a buffet with everything you’d expect - hot and cold food. The reception staff were very friendly.
Location is a little way from the centre but took us 25 minutes to walk. It’s a quiet area so no problem getting a good sleep.
Overall, for the price, it was fine and served our purpose well.

Very basic and tired, not the place to stay for 4 nights. Reception staff were helpful and polite. The bed and room were not serviced for the duration of my visit, and breakfast wasn’t very appealing, also I can’t find one of my mobile phones, so make sure you don’t leave any valuables in your room, there’s no safe.

I did not like the layout of hotel. It has kind of oldish, vintage look.

I found the hotel to be well appointed inside. From outside, it is not grand looking. The views are ok. Carpets looked worn out. Some furniture were chipped. We saw staffs who did not look happy here.

It is an old hotel. The quality of the bed room was bad. Not enough lighting. The room looked dark. The male reception was not too helpfull. We stayed there for a night only. The breakfast was ok. With ample food.

I stayed at the Laguna Hotel in March 2003 and found it to be basic but reasonable. It was one of the cheaper hotels in Zagreb so I wasn't expecting that much, but it was more expensive than hotels in other cities which have been much more pleasant. The rooms are really quite small, as is the bathroom, but they are both clean and in good condition. The city centre it about a mile away, so it can be a bit of a trek on foot. The restaurant at the hotel is very good however, as was the breakfast, with excellent service at both - english speaking waiters made things a lot easier. Check-in staff were less friendly, but that's not peculiar to just this hotel - it seems to be a general Croatia thing from my experience.

I came to this hotel not expecting it to be amazing after reading previous reviews saying it was "nothing special" - but I needed somewhere for a short break in Zagreb, and the stock photos on various booking sites seemed to look ok.

The hotel is very large, and used to have two blocks of accomodation, however only one has been renovated and is in use, the other sits derelict and empty on top of the bar and restaurant.

The rooms are basic, but very clean. My room was actually laid out like a small studio flat (It had a small square hallway with fitted wardrobe, a door into the bathroom, and a door into the main room) - the dark wood everywhere makes the rooms seem darker than they actually are!

The bathroom was small, but clean and everything worked.

The common areas are pleasant enough - outdated, but large and spacious. There is a nice bar and restaurant. Its a 15 minute walk to town - but pleasant, not uphill, and in a safe area. The trams to town are a 5 minute walk.

The staff were friendly and spoke excellent english in a country where you wouldn't expect them to.

One thing - this hotel seems to be popular with large school trips. During the latter half of my stay, the rest of my floor was taken up with german schoolchildren who insisted on running and knocking on their friends doors loudly and repeatedly at 7am. It may be worth checking if there are any group stays and asking to be allocated a room away from them, if booking.

But I'd wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, and would definately stay here again!

How does one reach. Bus stand to hotel How does one reach the airport
Answer from BIALGW

The best way to travel to and from the airport to Zagreb is by using the Croatian Airlines bus service. It takes about 30 minutes and runs every 30 minutes. It leaves from outside airport arrivals and goes to the main bus terminal in Zagreb. It costs 30 Kuna and you pay the driver. To get to the Hotel Laguna from the main bus terminal take tram line number 2 or 6 (direction Črnomerec) and get off at the third tram stop (main railway station). Then take tram number 9 (direction Ljubljanica) and get off at the fourth tram stop (Tehnicki Muzej). The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the tram stop.

Dear Mako, early check in is possible but depends on the free rooms. Early check in is not charged.
