A belated review of this nice hotel in Zagreb. Very convenient as I arrived very late in the evening by train and the station is only a short walk away. The City centre is a short walk in the other direction, so ideal for seeing the main sights. Very nice room and if I recall a nice evening meal too in quite a sumptuous dining room. Hopefully will stay again one day.
I have stayed here on business a few times, clean rooms, well equipped. No Parking on site, but you are in the centre of Zagreb .Close to train Station and central square. Ideal if you wish to visit all the tourist attractions
This was my first time staying at Hotel Palace (I previously stayed at The Esplanade) and I can't wait to go back! The location is great, right in the centre of town and close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Just steps away is a gorgeous park, Zrinjevac, where we spent a sunny afternoon enjoying the early Spring bloom. The hotel has a long history and it was lovely to see photos in the lobby of the famous people who stayed there. Our room was just perfect, spotless, with a king-size bed, complimentary coffee (and complimentary snacks and water upon arrival!) and all the necessary bathroom amenities. The only downside was the rather loud A/C system but otherwise the room had no street noise and was well-insulated. The hotel breakfast was definitely the highlight - just wonderful! A huge selection of everything you could possibly want to eat, including a "heritage corner" with dishes typical for the northern region of Croatia. They even served "shtrukli", and I must say that they were even better than those served at The Esplanade. Breakfast staff was friendly, professional and discreet. The hotel bar/restaurant had a terrific selection of whiskeys and the decor was lovely. As we had to cut our trip short unfortunately due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I must single out the front desk staff who were absolutely INCREDIBLE and very professional and provided us with a complementary taxi to the airport and comped our hotel bar charge. I cannot thank them enough for this kind gesture. I can't wait to go back to Zagreb and there is only one place that I'll be staying at - Hotel Palace!…
Spent a brilliant 3 nights at Palace Hotel. The hotel has a real sense of grandeur but with a really modern, relaxed service style. The room was spotless, comfortable and quiet, the communal areas are relaxed and stylish in the traditional style. Everything worked well in the room and the espresso machine and fridge were very welcome. Breakfast was varied and good and the location was ideal for being just outside the main centre but only a 5 minute walk to the old town. The hotel is also surrounded by green spaces that were beautiful day or night. The area also felt very safe. But the best thing about the Palace Hotel was the staff. Friendly, well informed, great sense of humour, and willing to help from anything from extra coffee pods to tips of things to see and do, to the history of the hotel and interesting facts about Zagreb and Croatia and its culture. A real credit to the hotel, their city and their country.…
we stay one night, have a 2 person room and it was quite nice and large, good beds and mattres, bathroom good but need more atention on cleaning, was mold on the windows.tasty breakfast and nice people.hotel is in the center of the city.
Used to be a trendy hotel, and to be honest, it has something, but overall it is too old fashioned for me. Breakfast is good, staff is very friendly, you get umbrella when it rains, just a shame the room is dated
I've been here for one night. First thing it can be seen is warm atmosphere and old, traditional, almost royal layout. Furthermore, service is very nice, simphatic and attentic. Rooms are warm, clean, cozy and comfortable. Although the hotel is in Center of city there was no noise. Breakfast choice is vide and everyone can find something for themselves. Morover food is very tasty. I enjoyed the stay!
We found this hotel ideally suited for us , it is very close to the city centre, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Staff are very polite and well mannered. And knowledgeable ref the sites etc. The room was good . A good choice of food at breakfast. I Would definitely stay here again when I return to Zagreb.
The Palace Hote is an excellent place to stay. We stayed for two nights and my brother, his wife and my son stayed for a further 3 nights. We decided on the Palace because we wanted to be near the advent which was amazing, It is also in an ideal position to visit many of the museums. We booked 3 rooms and all were very comfortable and clean. The staff are all very helpful and friendly.
I highly recommend this place if you looking for a nice, clean, safe, warm old school hotel place. I stayed for two nights and were very much pleased with all aspect of our stay. Great hotel and experience.
