We arrived early, at the reception they complained that we booked with agoda and that they could not give us a room in the renovated part with one big bed. But could check in early. So we had a room in the “old” part. Room was fine. For €100 a night it’s a good hotel in the citycenter. Right on the big square. Breakfast was included and was oke but nothing special.
This hotel is ideally situated for accessing tourist attractions and local transport and with plenty of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable with attention paid to Covid protection. The staff are brilliant, cheerful, friendly and helpful. Breakfast offers a wide choice of food. I found roasted vegetables a strange option for breakfast but, having eaten it with scrambled eggs and crusty rolls on the first morning of our stay, I then chose it every morning.
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Dubrovnik for one night and enjoyed it very much. The location was the BEST in the city! We walked to the night life and restuarants, which start out the front door, and all the major attractions including Mirogoj Cemetary (you may want to cab there). The service was very professional and pleasant, the breakfast was lovely, the only note was that the rooms were a bit tight and can benefit from a facelift. Otherwise, the value is great! I would definitely recommend for a short stay. If you're staying a while, you may want to inquire if they have any larger rooms, or another place ... just based on the size of the room. We stayed for one night and it was more than suitable.
Great location right in the center of Zagreb close to all the shops and tourist attractions. Just a few minutes walk. The staff are really kind and friendly. We were a group of friends and thank you for putting us all on the same floor next to each other. There is parking which is 20 euros a day. There is free wifi. Breakfast was good. Overall good hotel with a great location. Definitely would be back.
My wife and I started our Croatian trip in Zagreb. We decided to stay at this hotel, mainly due to location and price and we weren't disappointed by either. The location is perfect! You are near by to all the major attractions, great restaurants and shopping. It's ideal for a short stay in Zagreb since you can walk to everything you'll need and want to do. The room price is very fair, and arguably a good deal. Lobby is small but very clean, very nice. Staff is pleasant and professional. The room is small, but clean, well appointed but a little date. You have what's needed, but it needed a bit more. Breakfast was great, more than expected. Overall, we were very satisfied with out choice. It's a solid option for a few days stay in Zagreb.
The room thermostat wouldn't go below 23c... however, the room was much warmer than 23c. The front desk says the entire building is a constant temp and nothing could be done. We asked for a fan... again nothing could be done. Called the travel agent, and she contacted the hotel- a fan appeared. Rooms are average.. location is great. If you want to sleep somewhere cooler than 85F go somewhere else. BTW- it was hot outside but only upper 80s.
I wish we would’ve liked this hotel. It has a great location. But that’s about it for positives. The main issue is the air conditioning. The website claims to have air conditioning however four of us checked in and all of the rooms were at 25°C. We were constantly lied to about how low the rooms could actually go, from 20° to 24 to 22 depending on who we spoke to.My friends room was never cleaned over a four night stay, had spiderwebs upon entry into a room, and in my room the mattress pad doesn’t even cover the mattress. The front desk staff appeared to be not very helpful in any situation. The manager of the hotel was left messages about the air conditioning issues but never bothered to respond, never reached out, and never tried to remedy the situation. In fact on our last night all the rooms seem to be warmer than they were before. I would not stay here again and would caution people to be aware of this before they book.…
The hotel was spotlessly clean, and rooms were quiet. Good bed and shower, faultless wifi (I was there a week for work). Breakfast box in case of early flights very kindly offered. Points for improvement: blackout curtains please! I was exhausted, awake at 5 am every morning. Breakfast buffet was poor, I'd expect a wee bit more quality for what I paid per night. I really hope they stop with the small plastic single use bottles and install soap dispensers in the bathrooms and showers. It's a fine hotel for tour groups, but next time I'll choose somewhere more intimate.
Top location, friendly staff. This hotel in on the corner of the main square with trolls cars just out in front. The hotel has an expansive lobby and lounge with a bar. It has a large restaurant open to the public and a breakfast buffet, that is well attended by staff. The hotel has a fitness center, salon and a staff that is so free and helpful. This hotel is amongst many museums, parks and tourist attractions. Parking is a block away thru a covered alley..
This was our first stop on our Croatian vacation and our first hotel was the best! My heart skipped a beat when my first look out our 4th floor window was the buzzing Ban Jellacic square. Our room was so comfortable and spacious with large bathroom and even a tub! Everything was close by, money, convenience store shopping and tons of great restaurants. The staff was so helpful and kind. This should be everyone's choise in Zagreb!
