I have stayed here 3 times and it is good value for money and in a good location. The room is comfortable and has a balcony. The staff are friendly and speak different languages. The young woman speaks English and two gentlemen speak Russian and Spanish.

The guest house is in a good location, just off a very trendy street which has a lot of great eateries. But it stops about there. The rooms were very dated and uncomfortable. Luckily we only stayed one night and left early in the morning, not the kind fo place you would like to spend lots of time hanging around. Make sure to call and ask to check if parking is available as well. The gate wasn't working when we arrived and the road works on the street made parking impossible.

The best thing for us was that this hostel is not trying to be something it isnt. Its located on perfect location next to all the important sights and shishaman st. The crew is friendly and helpful. We loved the old house with wooden floor. We dont like new plastic places so it was perfect for us. Although old, we had hot water all the time.

The hostel is in a small house and the owners live there. You can't get rid of the feeling that you're staying at their place. It lacks some equipment and a common area, the kitchen is small and I felt like I was intruding into their living room. In short, it doesn't have a hostel atmosphere if that is what you're looking for. But everything i clean, the beds comfortable and the place quiet. Also, it's situated a at the very centre of the city, a short walk away from most touristic spots. Just for that I'd stay there again, and it's quite cheap!

Good location. Very friendly and helpful member of staff. I was allocated in a room in the loft with 5 beds, and with toilet inside the room, although the toilet door is unlockable. The room was cleaned. I shared my first night with another person, and I was alone in my second night. The hostel has no lockers to keep belongings in.

The place is very small and didn't seem to have much life to it. The room was quite basic and even somewhat yucky. We woke up around 6:30 and found the overnight staff person asleep on the couch in kitchen/common area. When he had made it to his computer, he seemed gruff with us.

Cheap and clean place to spend one or more night in the center of Sofia. The owners are very friendly and won't hesotate to provide you advise if you need some. There are several shared rooms, I shared mine with anthoer traveller and we had a private bathroom.

On a small street near to the main road, this place is good for those who enjoy the peace and quiet, yet mobile enough to walk a few metres more, compared to other choices nearer to town. There are many fine and affordable nearby too. Room is basic, yet comfortable. I had a dorm room with 3 beds (no bunk beds) with its own toilet/shower. There is AC, which is a must in the hot summer. On one night, I was staying alone, so it was kind of like a private room. Bed was comfortable, and room was clean. Nice stay for those who prefer a quiet environment.

Since my first visit, must be 10 years ago, on my way back from Bansko, this is the place i stay whenever i am in Sofia, usually on my way back or from Bansko. I regard this place as my home when i am in Sofia. What can i say, you have read all the reviews, i think i read them all and, only 1 was not so good, and i know exactly who that person is they spoke about, but he is harmless and hey, nobodies perfect, and they are exactly right. This is a hostel in a very old house, right in the middle of Sofia, so not far from most places, that is clean, is friendly, has character, is run by helpful, honest people, sadly a lot of people in Bulgaria, look to con or fiddle you in some way, especially the taxi drivers, with their secret buttons that make the fare metre, spin round at 2 or 3 times the normal speed, plus always check the window of the taxi, they all have very different rates. All the staff are very nice people, who speak english, too varying degrees, who will go out of their way to help you with what you want or need to know. I have stayed in every room and dormitory, apart from the attic dorm and everything is good, Remember you are staying in a place, where all kinds of people, with their varying standards or hygiene and treatment of other people's furniture, pass through, and they cope or rather Maria does, brilliantly. Like i said i will only go to one place when i am in sofia, BeMyGuest.

The lady who welcomed us initially was reasonably friendly. She allowed us to stay in the big 8-bed dorm up in the attic, which was empty, since it had more privacy than the bedrooms downstairs that open directly onto the small space of the common area, where two elderly men were chatting. Initially we only wanted to pay for one night, which we were able to do, and we ended up staying three because we were comfortable there, out of the way in the huge attic dorms! The elderly gentleman turned out to be very hospitable and kind, we never saw the initial lady again, as she was replaced by a younger man. He was nice enough, until one day when another backpacker arrived and we started chatting about travels. After about 10mins, he turned the TV on loudly, and another 5 mins later, asked us if we could go and chat outside on the balcony, as we were being too loud and disturbing his rest! This was about 4o’clock in the afternoon! Anyway, that kind of summed up the feeling we had there of imposing on them slightly, as though staying with a relative who feels obliged to have you over. But I have to say, it was alright overall. Not a bad, but not a great experience. One more thing: the breakfast is one of those packaged croissants with dodgy cream in that cost about 50cents of the local currency –designed to have a very long shelf life and packed with preservatives, so more e-number than actual pastry!
