Hilton Sofia is located strategically almost in the center of the city and it’s a perfect location to stay in as you are able to walk every where from the hotel. The hotel is easily accessible by Taxi from Sofia Train Station (less then 4 KM). The room which I stayed in was newly renovated and it had all the modern features and upgraded bathroom which made the stay extra nice. I like the modern art display which was featured in the lobby by a local Bulgarian Artist. It was a very classy touch in my opinion. The staff at the front desk was super helpful as they give us tips on how to navigate our way around Sofia and what tours we could join.
Amazing Hotel! Wonderful staff, good location, cheerful stay! Just wanted to start by thanking the outstanding team members: - Ms Anzhela Petrova from reservation Mr Evan frontdesk Ms Lliyana from restaurant / breakfast For outstanding service and help The location is a walk of about 7 minutes which takes you to the start of Blvd Vitosha The spa on site is good and offers reasonable and good treatments. The gym is small but useful and kept well. There is ample parking outside at the hotel , it’s paid for visitors, however it’s free for residence and do not forget to validate the parking ticket each time before you leave the hotel. Recommended 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I’m traveling a lot and staying in many hotels but there are only a few I can refer to as feeling at home. Hilton Sofia is one of those places! From the chief of the hotel to the cleaning staff everyone is eager to make my stays as comfortable as possible!
I loved my stay at Hilton Sofia. I was warmly welcomed by Boyana, she gave me a very nice room, completely new! Spacious, comfortable and beautiful. I had some macarons waiting for me in the room as well, delicious! Location is great, short stroll from the center. I wanted to thank especially Mariana, she was very friendly and helpful, and so professional. Was nice chatting to her and seeing the great work she’s doing! If I go to back to Sofia I will definitely stay at the Hilton again!
I'm a silver -m so technically the hotel doesn't have to upgrade me at all. However, I asked if I can and the front desk person said YES. I got the room key and asked if this was an upgraded room. She looked confused and called her manager. The manager was confrontational with him acting like I had offended the previous person. He added that I am a silver member and that "I only get the free water". This is the obvious result of customer service manners and approach that permeates from the communist era - when the only answer is " NO" EVEN WHEN THE HOTEL IS BASICALLY EMPTY This will be my answer as well when considering Hilton in the future...NO
The Hotel is located close to the inner city. I sits at the edge of a large park and north of it is the National Palace of Culture. Even further north is a long walking street with a lot of restaurants, bars and shops. The rooms are Hilton standard, spacious and clean. They also have a Minibar and a very large bathroom with tub and shower. The breakfast was very good (especially the coffee), with some warm buffet and the standard cheese, meat, salmon assorts. They also over a wide range of fruits, fruit salads and yogurts. The staff was very nice and helpful all the time.
My partner had not appreciated we were staying during a major refurbishment and realised when we got eMail information through about benefits we'd receive as he is a Hilton Diamond member and the Executive Lounge was closed; as was the restaurants and pool/fitness centre. The staff were mostly very good and helpful, the service when calling down to reception was really responsive. I would like to particularly call out an appreciation for Velimila at the front desk who kindly let our 15 year old print out some exam revision papers and Violecina (or something like this as cannot read the writing) , the smiling blond haired girl who works in the breakfast area and we observed was immensely welcoming and focussed on customer service throughout our stay. It was most noticeable as she was not there on Monday morning and the man and woman who were there in their uniforms did not bother. They did not check us into the breakfast area as they were nowhere to be seen; they did not come over and offer anything (Violecina always offered us a drink as we checked in) and they basically stood around chatting to each other. There were only 3 or 4 of us in the breakfast area so they hardly had to make too much of an effort to check everyone was okay but I feel they were a bit lazy compared to the service we'd had up to that point. The room cleaning was a bit hit and miss, not enough towels one day, then got way too many. No replenishing of fridge or bathroom one day, then got too much. We didn't have shower gel at all for about 3 days but had absolutely loads of shampoos and conditioners which we never used. On the whole though it's a lovely hotel to stay at in Sofia and we would recommend.…
The hotel is undergoing renovations so some services are currently limited or located in unusual places, such as the bar/restaurant on the mezzanine balcony. However my room was very well equipped (eg great walk in shower) and spotlessly clean, and from arrival to departure every encounter with staff was a joy: they are all just so helpful and friendly. This is a great place to stay in Sofia, and I assume once the refurbishment is completed it will be even better.
The executive lounge has gone down hill. Poor service, cold eats, no attendant. As a diamond and traveling the world for a living, I’ve been in a few Hilton properties... this one needs oversight. The management appears to not care………………..
From the beginning the receptionists were very polite, we arrived late at night, they fulfilled all the papers by themselves, made it very fast. The room was very clean and had a perfect view on beautiful Sofia with its mountains, nature and buildings. We have very difficult days now and the view from this window was our family therapy time. It's beautiful. The hotel proposed to their guests the best breakfasts ever. We are working in tourism with my husband and have traveled a lot. In Hilton Sofia are the best breakfasts, the variety is big and the quality is high.
