I am a hammam junkie. I've been to them all over the middle east, Morocco and Turkey...I love a good hammam! So when I saw this one advertised I knew I would have to go while I was in Sarajevo. I talked four other gals who were on my trip into going with me and talked it up a LOT! Our tour director called and made us reservations. He asked and was told that they accept credit cards (what hotel doesn't???). Unfortunately, when we got there, they told us we had to pay cash, so I had to hike to the nearest ATM, several blocks away, to get cash. That should have been my first clue... They weren't ready for us, or staffed for us. They had a few of us lying on a bench for our body scrubs, rather than the table made for that purpose. I think they brought in their "B" team for this, because we all had different experiences as to the standard of the body scrubs we received. A few were good, a few weren't so good. Four of us had booked for massages after our body scrubs. They were running so late on everything, two of us had to change from an hour massage to a half hour. And they put both of us on massage tables so close together there wasn't room for the massage therapist to fit between the tables. I had booked one type of massage (a soft gentle massage) and the gal on the table right next to me had booked a sports massage. They gave us both a sports massage...it was WAY too much for me. The masseuses were male, which wouldn't have been a huge problem if we had been given a normal sized towel to cover up with, but we had tiny little Turkish towels (think tea-towel), which was woefully inadequate. So I lived through being pummeled and stretched to within an inch of having my arms pulled out of their sockets and went into the locker room to retrieve my clothes...by this time we were running late for our dinner reservation. Let me note that we had booked FOUR hours at the hammam, which should have been more than enough time for all of us to get our reserved services, but I digress. So my key didn't open my locker. I couldn't get my clothes out. Two female attendants came in with every key they could find...none of them fit the locker. Then two men came in...now you have to remember: there are strange men coming and going into this maybe three meter by three meter locker room where I'm cowering on a bench trying to cover my bits with a wet tea towel. I was absolutely mortified. It took almost 40 minutes for one of the attendants to pry open the locker with a screwdriver and a hammer to retrieve my clothes. I was late to dinner and then they tried to charge me for the one hour massage I had reserved but not gotten! Overall, I would rate this a complete failure. The hammam is old and the steam room floor is covered with green mold. The attendants tried their best, bless them, but they were understaffed for our group and should have declined to make our reservations if they couldn't accommodate us. It obviously was only built to accommodate no more than two patrons at a time and there were five of us plus three other gals there at the same time. It's ridiculous that they claimed to be cash only AFTER we got there, when they clearly have the means to accept credit cards (you pay for the spa services at the hotel's front desk). The whole locker debacle should have been grounds for at least DISCOUNTING my visit, if not completely waiving my fee, but they didn't go for that. I gave two stars just for the attendants, who, as I said, tried their best.

What a germ! Very friendly staff and all fluent in English, nicely decorated rooms (clean and comfortable too), fantastic breakfast ánd of couse the hammam! Plus: right in the centre yet away from the overly crowded pedestrian area. If ever I return to Sarajevo, I'd definetely would stay here again.

the hotel is next to the emperor's mosque and walking distance to the centre of the old city and a short walk to the cable car. The staff are all very friendly, they took the time to show me around the Hammam, my kids enjoyed it and helped with directions and where to go. Room is clean only a not that big for 4 people, we took the triple room 2+1 and added another single bed but its manageable. Nice classic furniture. Breakfast is good and i enjoyed it very much. big thank you to the team

Chose to stay at this hotel on my final day in Bosnia Herzegovina and I am so glad I was here. Location was perfect, very close and walking distance to convenience - food, public transport, place of worship, museums, you name it. No other place in Sarajevo could be better than this. The hamam was a plus, guests get to use for free during the opening hours. Breakfast was superb, with an good view & sunshine at the 2nd floor. Room was clean, amenities were great. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Finally, the staff were flawless. They go all the way to help you, the hospitality was amazing. You feel so welcomed here, it’s all smiles. Will definitely be back here if I ever end up in Sarajevo again, which I’m pretty sure I will!

Very poorly maintained. Me and my friends booked an appointment for Hammam and massage but when we arrived they did not even know about it. We had to wait a long time, the sauna was turned off even though we were promised to. It was crowded in the bath section and several people had to be washed before us despite our booked time. The massage was the worst, there were staff who were not experienced and we did not get a real massage even though we booked a sports massage (most expensive one).

This hotel is only steps away from old town Sarajevo and I found it very easy to walk around to places even at night. I really enjoyed their breakfast which had a variety of choices and all very tasty. One suggestion would be that maybe the breakfast could start a bit early (it starts at 7:30 in the morning) as I felt I always had to rush my breakfast since I need to leave early for my day trip. The staff are very polite and helpful. The shower is very good. My regret is that I didn't get to try the Turkish bath experience since I was always out all day and the bath is closed at night. It was a very comfortable stay overall.
