Hotel Hecco is a clean, comfortable hotel with a friendly staff. It is a 5 minute walk to the old part of Sarajevo but might take a little longer walking back to the hotel because it is uphill. The breakfast has a lot of variety. There is no elevator.

We stayed here for a couple of nights as part of a G Adventures trip through the Balkans. I found the hotel to be very comfortable. I stayed in a single room that was more than adequate. The air conditioner worked well, the room was clean, plenty of hot water and the breakfast in the morning had a good variety....

€70 per night was quite expensive for what it offered. Needs renovation because it looked and felt quite outdated. My bed sheet had dirty marks on it; bathroom was not clean , dirty toilet and was a nightmare sleeping in this bed. No elevator and we had to carry our heavy suitecases on our own to the 2nd floor. 10min...

Beds were comfortable, warm showers, nice breakfast. 500 metre walk uphill back to hotel in the evening but still close enough to old city centre. Less traffic noise because it is a bit away from the centre.

I liked almost everything about this hotel. The beds were comfy, showers hot, breakfast was the usual fare for this part of the world and the wifi was good in the room. Unfortunately it is located 500m up a hill from the town centre. Not the best in the heat after a long day sight seeing.

I spent two nights here while hiking around Sarejavo. The hotel is very close to the old town, is clean, the staff is very helpful and friendly, and breakfast is ample with lots of fresh fruit, bread and coffee. I really can't ask for much else! A recommend.

This hotel felt bright and spacious throughout. The reception staff were fab and quickly learned all of our small group so they gave us the right keys back as soon as we walked in. The room was comfortable, with a fridge, big TV and air conditioning (which wasn't super-effective but kept us at a reasonable temperature). There is no lift....

“Rooms all seem quiet but you do hear the call to prayer from local mosques if you keep your windows open. If you keep windows closed the air con is good and you don't hear anything. As with many other Bosnian hotels, there is no lift and we were on the 3rd floor so if you have a lot of luggage ask for room on lower level.”
