I loved this place and wish I'd stayed here longer!! It felt like home and the staff were so nice and always willing to help you out with anything you need. They helped me to arrange a shuttle to Belgrade with convenience. Stay with one of the best in the city!!

First, the city and the nation seem to have overcome the hardships of 1990s. Sarajevo is again full of life, and the middle of that Hostel Vagabond offers a comfy and pleasant stay. Situated in the center of center it's merely a short walk to every need-to-see spot. One becomes part of a family here.

Great hostel! Stuff is really friendly and welcome. Cleanness is on a high level. Everything is pretty new and clean. Just be sure which room are you booking since I was in a 6-bed room, but there was 8-bed room next to us divided with a "wall" which is open at the top and on a side, so it doesn't... More

Nice and clean rooms with great beds. Wifi always works and has good speed. Separate male/female bathrooms that are also very, very clean and new. The staff are polite and always at your service, day and night. The location is right in the city center, in the main street. Best recommendations for this cool place!

The hostel is comfortable and clean. The staff were realy nice and helped all the time. Lockers are inside the room and big enough for your backpack. The only thing that I would change is the distribution of the bathrooms and toilets, but is not a big deal.

I passed a great week in Sarajevo and this hostel is amazing because it is in the heart of the city and the team is so kind! Strongly recommended! The rooms are nicely equipped and the common room was the perfect place to meet other hostel guests. Our group was there for election observation and we were taken care of... More

Vagabond knows what it's about and does it well. They have a great and extremely helpful staff, a cozy and large common room, free amenities, fair prices, and oh yeah, about the best location you could possibly have! The hostel is on the main street of the old town by plenty of restaurants, shops, etc. and is literally 20m from... More

I found this hostel with the balkan backpackers hostel but i've been very disappointed. There's no "hostel life" there, only a huge room (without any door !) with 14 beds, no real kitchen, the common room isn't open all day, you have to leave before 10 am, etc.

Dear guest, Thank you for your time and feedback. We are happy to inform you that the room with 14 beds is now 2 separate rooms with doors. Kitchen is something we never advertised that we have, but our kitchenette is very conviniant and free coffee and tea are really appreciated by our guests. Common area is open 24 hours,... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are new and unique Hostel at the best location in Sarajevo. Our completely renovated premises with spacious and airy rooms, new bathrooms, and fresh aromatic linens are complemented by exceptionally comfortable ambient and fully committed staff. Vagabond is located at a "prime" location in the very epicentre of Sarajevo, in the central pedestrian zone called Ferhadija Street. We are less than 50-step walking distance from the old town area - Bascarsija, Turkish Ottoman-style bazaars, numerous restaurants and cafes. Despite of this, Vagabond is proud to be able to offer a perfectly quiet and calm refuge from both day-time and night-time street noise, which makes us the perfect choice for urban nomads. Vagabond Hostel offers tens of different services and tours, varying from city sightseeing to real little adventures. What is special about each and every of these and what makes us very proud, is that they are unique and non-commercial, plus absolutely adaptable to your particular wishes and preferences. It could be anything from trout fishing, wild horse photo-safari, rafting, mountain hiking, horse riding school, skiing, cooking local meals, learning about local culture, people and history or visiting pubs and shopping centres. Please let us know what are your wishes and we will make them come true. ... more   less
