This was another find on Booking.com using the three principles of location / pricing and amenities. It met all three so we booked this place the day before we arrived. Due to our plane from Belgrade being cancelled and a nine hour bus trip getting in at midnight, we had a late check in of which we informed the reception prior to us getting there. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room we had was good. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows being of the European design didn't suit me and I didn't like them. The room was well appointed otherwise and the bathroom was good as well. I would've rated this excellent but for the breakfast being too expensive for what it was and the spa area that claimed a pool temp of 36 degrees was about 24 degrees. We dipped our toes in and went straight back to the room. Be aware when entering the pool area, that it is very slippery when wearing the slippers the room provides. I nearly fell over due to this. Still, the hotel was clean, comfortable, service was good and it is as it name states, has a very central location for all the touristy things to see and do. Overall, I liked it and would stay there again.

This is my second time staying here. The first time was amazing as well. This hotel is in the perfect spot, everything is in walking distance. The hotel staff are all very kind and professional. They all also speak English. They have a massive amount of TV channels in various languages over 30 in English with movie channels to. Off site parking is a minute walk down the street and the guys that run it are also very good people. If you have never been here, you will likely want to stay longer then you planned. Sarajevo is a awesome place, I have been all through Bosnia the last couple weeks and it is a great country. Very good, warm and welcoming people everywhere I went.

Stayed in this hotel for 1N whilst in Sarajevo. There were some issues with the room I was given initially, but the Front desk gave me a new (and nicer) room with no quibbles. The hotel gym is very good, however some of the machines don't have weights written on (in either lb or kg), so may as well not have been there in all honesty. Breakfast good. Also great location for the Sarajevo Old City.

I can’t recommend this hotel enough. The reception staff went over and above. They were very helpful and friendly. I stayed for 4 nights. The breakfast was very good and the rooms were clean and modern. It was in the centre of Sarajevo near all the museums and old part of the city.

Great location to walk to everything, a block from the Museum of Crimes Against Humanity and Genocide (a must see). Our suite was large and quaint. The people at the front desk were very helpful (one of them gave us her personal umbrella when it rained one day). Breakfast was pretty good, and there is a full gym and a pool, which one doesn't always find in hotels in this area. Had a few issues with the key card, but nothing big.

Hotel Central is a very hospitable place with great staff. Location cannot be more central. Great swimming pool and fitness center, comfortable rooms. Great price-perfomance ratio. The staff organized trips and transports and answered all kinds of my questions regarding activies in Sarajevo as sport and cultural events even before we arrived and all worked out very well. Very recommendable in all aspects. Very good English is spoken. I stayed there twice and will definitely come again if in Sarajevo.

Stayed one night at Hotel Central after arriving at the airport, as I was taking the bus to Mostar the following morning. It’s a lovely hotel perfectly located a couple of minutes walk from the old town. We made use of the basement swimming pool, which is very large and has a good sauna and plunge pool. We didn’t check out the gym. Breakfast was ample and varied. The only negative was where our room was located. Although it was a large modern room, it was on the first floor, above a noisy bar, on a Saturday night. The music didn’t stop until about 2:00am. It’s not the fault of the hotel what other establishments neighbour the hotel. However, the issue we had to complain about the following morning was that, if the hotel is sparsely occupied and has plenty of available room, they shouldn’t check guests into low floors (close to loud bars) on a Saturday night. That said, all other aspects were positive, especially breakfast. When we returned three days later, we stayed three nights at Hotel VIP, which we preferred… although breakfast was far better at Hotel Central.

We loved our 4 day stay at this superb hotel. The location is prefect if you are a tourist. The room (Donnybrook Suite) was spacious with a private balcony. The bedding was comfortable and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The breakfast was good. And the staff were very friendly and helpful (even phoned Belgrade Airport to try and locate our luggage!). We will definitely be staying here again when we next visit Sarajevo.

I am so grateful for the front desk staff, who responded quickly and effectively to multiple problems I encountered when I arrived in Sarajevo. In particular, I was waiting on an important package that was mis-delivered to another location, and the postman was informed, a driver was found, and I was able to grab it on my way to the airport from the central post office. Sarajevo has a lot of odd logistical challenges, and the hotel staff understood how to help and stepped up. Much appreciated.

We booked a junior suite room for 1 night, and it turned out to be a 1 bedroom apartment with a kitchen, 1.5 bath, a separate living room/study, and a terrace. What a great deal! My only minor complaint was the towel situation- we didn’t have two full sets of towels and the half bath didn’t have any. But since we were only there for one night, it wasn’t a big deal. The hotel is centrally located and surrounded by tons of bars. Parking is at a lot nearby for 10 euros/day (with the hotel discount). The pool/sauna was another nice treat after week-long vacation in the Balkan. Staff was friendly and check-in process was fast and easy. Highly recommended.
