I was very happy with this hotel. Great location, great service, clean. But don't even think of staying there if you have any problems with mobility. The bathtub sides are so high that you need to be very limber to get in and out. I could still do it, so I have no complaints. But keep that in mind if your knees are not what they used to be :)
This is a superbly located , reasonably priced hotel in central Minsk near Holy Trinity Cathedral and Niezelnosti Prospect, the Main Street. The iconic KFC under the interesting ‘Solidarity’ Socialist-Era Relief is a very short walk away and there are three metro stations within 5 minutes. Excellent WiFi, but most importantly for me and rare for Central Minsk- free parking for my hire car!
In the city enter. Close to main street. Old style hotel - small to medium size. easy check-in. Over priced. All hotels in Minsk are overpriced. They cater to Russian casino tourists. (No gambling in Russia.) It was an average experience - not bad - not good. Food = average. Service = average.
I was impressed by this place. Not expensive coming from western Europe, but there were cheaper options. As it was my first visit and I was returning to Minsk the following week I thought I could always go cheaper then. Anyway, my first impressions were very good with very polite staff, apologising (unnecessarily) when I had to wait a little for check in and offering any help they could. My luggage had actually got lost in Kiev and the staff were very keen to phone the airport and do as much as they could for me. I enjoyed the breakfast room/restaurant and the food was good quality and again the lady serving there was friendly and polite. The room was a good size and the facilities that came with it. The wifi and Tv were As always, it is nice to have some bottled water on arrival in the room - a small detail, but appreciated. As for the location, it is absolutely perfect as a base to visit the main sites, such as the upper town, old town, the shops, a lot of good restaurants and the metro and buses are not far away. Neither is it a long walk to the main train and bus station. All in all I'd recommend this place, although you may find cheaper (and more expensive no doubt) options.…
Excellent hotel in nice old style. Very friendly and helpful staff at front desk. Good taxi service, also from and to the airport. The breakfast is largely Belarusian. Excellent restaurants around the corner and in the old town a short stone's throw away
