If you miss or are interesting of the soviet style hotel you have to stay here. Very good value for money. I stayed 4 nights only for 130$). 2 stations away from the city center. Bar in the lobby. Big supermarket in 70 meters.

Old but clean Soviet-style hotel located at Pushkinskaya metro, a short easy ride to the city centre. Fast food options and a supermarket are right outside the hotel. Rooms are clean and well kept. Wifi was decent but had an annoying login process. Staff are fine. Hot water wasn’t working on the last day, and the situation was poorly handled. This issue only affected some rooms (confirmed with other guests), yet somehow the city was to blame. Advice was to wait for it to come back on as if I had just planned to sit in a hotel room all day. I asked for a late checkout as I had a commitment and could shower afterwards, but this was rejected as I was told the room was needed for future guests, despite plenty of open availability showing for the hotel online. I just wanted to be able to shower, even if it was in a change room, and wasn’t interested in compensation but the hotel had no viable alternatives. I was offered a change of room but was told I had to move everything immediately including forcing my sleeping friend to move and then wait until they decided to assign a room. Upon leaving, water had started to come back and was brown. I was told to keep running it, but I didn’t have time, and my friend reported it took another hour to restore hot water to our room. The hotel could easily have allowed access to a shower in a room where it was still functioning given that barely anyone was at the hotel, but instead botched the handling of the issue. I’d likely stay elsewhere in the future, as it’s likely given the age of the hotel that similar issues would arise again and staff aren’t able to easily offer solutions.

Booked in 2 nights over the space of 4 days. I booked over booking.com and contacted the hotel to ask for a transfer. This was confirmed. The transfer never arrived at the airport. I called and was told it was their Marketing Department who dealt with it. Of course, the Marketing Dept. had finished for the day. No one ever apologised. The room was nice and the staff friendly. However, when we returned 3 days later, the receptionist was inefficient and unfriendly. The room was very basic and small and we were questioned about a missing towel (really???) Loved the first night but disappointed by the 2nd night. Thank you to the young lady behind reception with glasses who was super helpful!!!

Room 720. The receptionist miss Dina gave us a room, little, all day sunny, from 10am to night. No stool for luggages, a mini wardrobe , no tea, only kettle. The wifi is differen from hall and room and after 3 days die and you need a new one, but nobody tell it ! The curtains don't stop the light and at 5 am you awake ! I spoke with the manager miss Janna, very, very unpolite. First: she wanted to speak wit me at the reception, so I told her to move at a table. Second: she never asked me if I wanted a glass of water, third I ask her bussiness card, she hasen't, promissed to give me later. Never she did it. To reach the hotel you must walk for 54 stair outside !!! And 24 stairs to have breakfast in the morning !!! Miss Janna IS NOT SUITABLE FOR DEALING WITH CUSTOMERS !!! After three days we change hotel and we went to Planeta, same category, 3 stars, where with low price i got a Suite at 11th floor. Meditate people !!! Ivanromeo.
