I stayed at Hostel Trip'n Hostel Tirana and was extremely satisfied with every aspect of the hostel. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable regarding places to visit in Tirana. The hotel is very clean throughout, and the room was spacious with everything that I needed. Breakfast was substantial, and suited all tastes. The hostel is quiet, and is situated near to numerous restaurants, and a main supermarket, and within easy walking distance to anywhere in the city. I would highly recommend !!!

I stayed here the night of 26th Feb ‘20 and what can I say but, for how much I paid (£10), I felt like I received the service of somewhere I paid a hundred pounds for. I checked in rather late, which didn’t bother the staff in the slightest, they were more than happy to accommodate for. The hostel is situated a short walk from the centre, Skandebeg Square (10 minute) which is a straight road the whole way. I was greeted on arrival, offered a free drink, asked if I’d eaten (I hadn’t) to which they were more than happy to show me the best restaurants, they are very knowledgeable about the area and were happy to answer any questions. I was upgraded to a 6 bed dorm for no extra cost as it was a quiet night, the beds were exceptionally clean and the rooms had all the necessities needed. I was offered a free breakfast in the morning (Fried Eggs, French Toast or Omelette), I took the Omelette which was delicious. They were happy to store my bag the following day even though I wasn’t staying that night and upon seeing the unfortunate weather forecast, gave me one of their umbrellas to use for the day. The staff helping out there were very kind and friendly, the bar is very well priced and is well stocked. They were having their new lockers delivered the following morning, so were more than happy to give me the key to the private room, which wasn’t in use, to be able to store all my things. The staff will go above and beyond to assist you, excellent stay in an excellent hostel. Pros - • Very kind, friendly, knowledgeable staff. • Free delicious breakfast. • Staff go above and beyond for you (more than happy to show you routes to take, roads to avoid, make calls if you need, show you bars, restaurants, absolutely anything that you need!). • Best price you’ll find in Tirana for quality of service and cleanliness. • Free Wi-Fi (which is very fast). • All dorm beds have curtains for extra privacy if needed. Cons - •Nothing. ——————————————————— It came to £10 in all for myself but I left a little extra as it didn’t feel right to pay so little for what you get. I would’ve happily paid double considering location, service and cleanliness. If you’re visiting Tirana, stay here.

I stayed here recently as a solo traveller. It was the off season so there were not very many other guests. However, I immediately felt welcome, the staff absolutely make this place! Was invited to sit and talk with them and went a walk with them to the square in the evening. They were also massively helpful in recommending things to do and how to get there. As an aside, the free walking tour everyone recommends really is fantastic! When I came to leave for Ohrid, staff again were incredibly helpful telling me where to go, what buses to get, how long it would take, how much it would cost... this was my first time travelling alone and was quite anxious about some things, but everyone was happy to answer my million questions with a smile and make me feel at home. The location is brilliant, only 2 minutes walk from the bazaar with lots of nice restaurants, and only 5 minutes walk from Skanderbeg Square (and I’m a slow walker) - can’t get more convenient than that! Beds are comfy, lockers are spacious and you have an electric socket, light and privacy curtain at every bed, all lovely touches! The WiFi is strong and reliable everywhere in the hostel. There is a small bar which is very cheap and a welcome shot of raki is provided when you arrive which was very nice. The beer is good too! There is a comfy indoor lounge and an outdoor seating area, and a garden with orange trees. There are three kittens and a mother cat that hang around and are very cute, unfortunately I have allergies or I would have been playing with them! They don’t go into the rooms, they stay outside or sleep the lounge in front of the heater so that was not a concern for me. In the morning (8-11am) there is a free breakfast - choice of omelette, fried eggs or French toast. I was extremely impressed with the quality and had an omelette both mornings. Not standard hostel fare, and table service! Absolutely fantastic. A few hang-ups: the downstairs bathroom could do with a bit of love. It was a bit dirty and the shower shelf was broken and left sitting on the shower floor. The showers and toilets upstairs were very clean however, so I used them the second day instead. The entrance to the hostel is also not very well signposted, this could maybe be improved. The entrance is not very well lit either. Although I never felt unsafe in Tirana, it may make travellers feel more confident at night time if there was better lighting at the hostel gate, especially with the days being so short currently. However, these are not major faults and this hostel still gets five stars from me. The staff are wonderful, and there are so many nice touches about the place that make you feel at home. I would book again with no hesitation if I return to Tirana!
