Hostel Albania is the best place to escape the chaos of Tirana. Its centrally located, 5/10 minutes walk from the main square. The staff and the volunteers were super friendly and provided usefull tips and info. Dorms are clean and silent allowing you to get a good night sleep. Bathrooms are clean. All around the hostel there is a private... More

We stayed at hostel Albania for three nights and enjoyed every moment of it. The hostel beds were really comfortable and clean towels and linen were provided. The hostel has a wonderful garden and a very pleasant social atmosphere. The staff that run the hostel are a real credit to the place and are very very friendly and easy going.... More

Stayed here for 2 nights during a cycling trip. Hostel is a cool place and the basement is a god-send in the heat of summer. lots of good chill out spaces outside as well. Good quiet location on the edge of the city centre, was quite hard to find, although the locals seem used to guiding lost travellers to it.Free... More

We enjoyed our stay at Hostel Albania. The owner (Claas, a fun German dude) and the people that work there are very sweet and helpfull. At first we were a bit disappointed because our room was not at the hostel but 2 minute walk away from it. Claas showed us that he put that info clearly on his site and... More

I stayed at Hostel Albania for four nights with friends, and it is the ideal place to come back and chill out after a day in the busy city. The staff were very helpful, providing a map and explanation of how to get to all the various bus stops (there is no central bus station in Tirana). The dorm was... More

Usually I don't like hostels, but being alone in the country's capital on a weekend, I wanted to try and find some people to hang out with in Tirana. Initially, the place doesn't quite feel anything special, you need to look at the pics here to be able to find it, as the gate looks exactly the same as the... More

Great hostel, just a short walk from the market and a few minutes from the centre of Tirana. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The sort of place where everyone talks to each other no matter where in the world they are from. Good dorm rooms, well equipped kitchen and a lounge with TV. Draught beer available - it was popular... More

Great hostel, been in a lot of hostels in Europe and this is definitely one of the best. Great rooms, clean, very relaxed and nice atmosphere, location fine and staff is nice and sometimes go out with guests for a dinner or have a bbq at the hostel. There were also free yoga lessons. The old villa is a great... More

I am glad to say that my favourite hostel has not changed! The same friendly hosts, the same charming atmosphere, the same low prices! I recommend this hostel because of its great location, considerable prices and attractive feel.

Hi Militza, thank you for your review. We always try to make it as nice and comfortable as possible for our guests. As you wrote our outside area is huge and peaceful, the breakfast we serve is fresh and healthy. She-Ra the dog is only a few hours per day in the hostel, and it seems you like her too.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hostel Albania is perfectly located in one of the oldest parts of Tirana. Our Hostel is the perfect spot to discover Tirana day and night because we are close to everything to see and do in this big city. Close to all bus stations, just a few steps to the biggest open market, not far from the nightlife area in Tirana and surrounded by cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. Hostel Albania is also the first choice if you just like to relax a bit away from the hustle and bustle that this fast and noisy city is famous for. Sitting in our huge garden you won`t feel like you are in Tirana, and the different areas like the oriental lounge, the beach part, BBQ area or the bar will be there to ensure that everyone will find his perfect spot to do whatever you feel like doing. Smoke a Shisha, drink a homemade Raki, put your meat on the fire or pick your own fruits from one of our 25 fruit trees like lemons, oranges, mandarins or pick some grapes that are growing all around the garden. You are welcome...Hostel Albania is also the best choice if you need a base camp from where to discover whole Albania. As we were working as tour guides for different agencies in the past we know everything about what to see and where to go in Albania and we are happy to provide all the information you need to discover this beautiful country. ... more   less
