Peace Hotel is hands down your best choice when staying in Mogadishu. Close to the airport, stellar security, great food, friendly and kind staff. Feels like home. Fast wifi, lots of places to have meetings and get work done, and delicious cappuccinos. Highly recommend! They also offer airport pickup for a charge I believe, just ask when booking.
The owner Hotel Bashir and Management hotel they are the worst man that I ever met them in Somalia They made me more uncomfortable unsecured and sometimes fearful to damage myself 😭😭😭 I never forget what they made 4 - 17 January 2020.
I didn't know what to expect when visiting Mogadishu but was amazed at the quality of Peace Hotel and its facilities, management and staff. All experiences were seamless from arrangement of my visa, collection at the airport, my stay, and activities while in Mogadishu. I've recently traveled in such places as Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Iraq and this is by far the best security I have experienced - the best. The level of hospitality and genuine care for guests was exceptional and the type that can usually only be found in an old and rich culture. And this rubs off on the guests with genuine friendliness and goodwill while relaxing in a leafy and shaded court yard and served by very attentive staff. I felt sad to leave. Excellent meals, great coffee, fresh produce, and the best watermelon juice I've ever tasted. Excellent rooms with strong hot shower pressure, comprehensive TV channels, quiet air conditioning, very clean, functional, fast wifi, and well serviced. I particularly enjoyed the roof top terrace with its cooling breeze in the evening and view towards the Indian Ocean, and the high level of spoken English. It takes much effort and skill to deliver this level of service and quality of care in a difficult environment and gives me much hope in Somalia's future. I strongly recommend the Peace Hotel when visiting Mogadishu.…
The place is lovely and the most important: very secure. It is just in front of the airport and the security team and Bashir are absolutly professional and kind. Rooms are simple but clean and well equiped, food is absolutly excellent (indian chef) and service very good. If you plan to travel to Mogadiscio, I wouldn't recomand any other place.
Great and peaceful place with a rooftop with sea view. Friendly staff. The hotel rooms are very clean.Food is good but they lack variety. They also provide gym opened all the time. Recommend the hotel.
I spent two nights at the hotel. I must congratulate the management for the stringent security measures, the good accommodation and the well trained staff. The best rooms are at the center of the facility. The annexes re good too.
I had low expectations but left impressed. The staff were very professional and attentive. Security team most impressive and showed us the ins and outs of responding to threats and safe room etiquette. Most impressive was the food. Very good indeed. Well bLanced, tasty and good variety. I'll come back.
Peace Hotel exceeded any and all possible expectations. I had a clear plan for arrival, a smiling host when I came through the gate, and a comfortable drive to the compound (2 minutes). The compound itself has a courtyard with neatly trimmed trees surrounding it making for an inviting communal space. The room was large and clean. The amazing part was the food/bev service. Anytime fruit/coffee (espresso!) water. The food was always balanced with vegetables (and not the oil soaked type I expected.) The staff were always welcoming and happy to help with any request (e.g. camel milk). Top balcony has view over the airport and ocean. They take security very seriously and were able to take me out for a tour - the city is incredible especially the shop front art work. I ended up staying an extra day and was really sad to leave.…
Not much to say other than it's worth every penny. So safe, amazing staff, decent wifi, great food, armed guards ready to take you anywhere you need, I literally wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Mogadishu!
Any place you stay in Mogadishu needs to have good security and the Peace Hotel definitely delivers. From pick up at the airport until they dropped us off back at the airport four days later, it was evident that security is taken very seriously. Corners are not cut whether you are a short term or long term guest. For $150 you are provided this security, your room, as well as three delicious and varied meals a day ( I especially liked the various fish dishes) served in a delightful area under some trees. Meeting rooms are available with additional coffee/tea service. No gym but exercise can be had running within the compound. The hotel owner and management is happy to work with you.
