We spent one night at Tiare Tahiti Hotel before flying to the islands & really enjoyed ourselves. If you are taking the Ferry to or back from Moorea this is the perfect location & in easy walking distance of the pier. Our city view room had a nice little balcony with a view of the harbour and (while simple) was...

Picked the hotel as it was close to the departure point of the Aranui 5. Hotel located in the middle of the city and one can walk from there to all the touristic attractions. Also very close to the Tahua Vaiete where all the food trucks are parked since Papeete pretty well closes down at 5 p.m. if you want...

Second stopover here. Reasonable price. TV in French. Right on the waterfront with pathway across the road to walk to the ferry to the islands and drag your suitcase. Large rooms, clean. There is a restaurant on-site but not really advertised. Second floor - I found it by accident when I used the stairs instead of the lift. Didn't eat...

The location could not have been better and the price was right! Decided to stay here before and after our trip to the Marquesas on the Aranui. Everything we needed to do in Papeete was within walking distance from this hotel. All of the hotel staff that we encountered were extremely helpful and nice. After finding the food trucks down...

Flights into Papeete are a bit limited and our one with Air New Zealand arrived at around 1am, a whole 28 hours before we were to join our cruise on Aranui 5. To make sure we had a bed on arrival I booked Tiare Tahiti for two nights. We are quite fussy and for our longer stay after the cruise...

I booked this hotel based on the reviews in TA. They came up short of our delightful stay in town! There are only 38 rooms, and we were in a large, very clean, cool, fresh room on the 3rd floor. The balcony overlooked the harbor and there was a nice breeze all day and night. Their breakfast nook has 2 nice...

The hotel is located very centrally, right across from the marina, 5 min walk to the Mo'orea ferry and the centre area is just around the corner. The hotel is very simple and a bit outdated. There is no fridge and no wifi. In Europe it probably wouldn't cost more than 30-40 EUR, just so you get an idea. I've...

Room was very basic, but clean and safe and centrally located. Air conditioner works well esp for very hot and humid weather. Water pressure was excellent. Our room located at the back of the hotel was very quiet for a central business location. Walking distance from the cruise ship, Avis car rental, restaurants, including the food trucks, and all the...

We stayed here a few days ago, bc we flew in at 10pm, and took the ferry the next morning to moorea. The lady at the front desk was very nice, and the entrance of the hotel was cute.. very tahitian/island feel. The check in process went smooth, and we were booked on the 2nd floor. When we got off...

We booked this for a quick overnight stay - arriving late from Auckland and due to go to Bora Bora the next day. Even so, the Tiare was a disappointment. Basically, everything looked grubby and in dire need of a good clean and/or refurbishment. It was hot - fair play, not a hotel problem! Our room had air conditional but...
