We've been to French Polynesia 4 times, and wish we'd met Martine and Georgie before. Clean, convenient and friendly. Recommend without reservation. They also have bicycles to lend! Visit the "food trucks" at the dock for dinner.

This answer comes a little late but the names are interchangeable. The word "fare" in Tahitian means house and the word "maison" in French means house. Trip Advisor seems to use the names to mean the same place and I can find no internet page for maison d'hote tutehau. I would assume they are one and the same.
