Our family stayed here for two nights before going to Moorea. Granted, prices are sky high in Papeete, but we definitely didn't get our money's worth here. The rooms are generic and lack any Tahitian charm. The beds are incredibly uncomfortable - softer than a waterbed! My boys thought the sheets on the extra beds felt like plastic. The pool... More

The manager seems to think that it is a good idea to double dip by having a VERY loud disco on the 2nd floor while guests who thought they had booked in for a good nights sleep on the floors above toss and turn while waiting for their flights. Gee thanks! dining service and room cleanliness indifferent. But most annoying... More

The staff were very friendly and helped me practice my rusty French. Clearly they do speak English too. Hotel Tahiti Nui is close to the centre of town and handy to the ferries. Central Papeete is slightly sleazy along the waterfront at night but there is a lovely park close by. The pavements could do with repair which would make... More

I expected much more from Tahiti and this hotel. The city is very third world and is infested by people who have that sick/twisted look in their eye and present as unhealthy. I've never seen so many transgendered prostitutes in my life! The hotel is C level at best and has the quickest elevator of all time. This is a... More

We arrived at midnight and were efficiently checked in. The rooms are spacious and had great air con as we adjusted to the tropical warmth. The breakfast was good and the Shell station next door has a great grocery selection if you want to self cater. Our room had a kettle but no cooking facilities. The hotel could promote its... More

It didn't take long to change Tahiti Nui to Tahiti No-No in my mind. No, the TV didn't work. I was eager to watch some sport results. No, the pool couldn't be used as it was icy cold and they threw 6 large exercise bicycles into it for water aerobics. No, there was no wifi anywhere. Guests kept asking around... More

Stayed one night on transit from moorea to back home. Rooms are clean and modern. The corridors have no lights which at night are a little odd and creepy. Recommend they install better lighting before they get sued for someone tripping over. Location is ok. 10 min walk to waterfront. Great service station with food/drinks next door. Wifi is only... The hotel is well located and very nice for a very short stay as the view is absolutly not the best of Polynesia, but you're also in Papeete... The hotel has very nice breakfast, provides free wifi at the reception and has spacious rooms if you're travelling with kids. You can also store your luggages at the hotel if you... More

This hotel is underrated on the website. It is actually modern and well designed with attractive and stylish rooms. The staff were the most dignified and appropriate of all that I encountered in a range of hotel and resort stays throughout French Polynesia is very good value for money in this hugely overpriced country. The location allows easy access to... More

We stayed at this hotel on two occasions, each time for one night. We enjoyed the spacious, extremely comfortable junior suite. The bed and linen felt delicious and luxurious. There is a small balcony with glimpses of the sea and a separate living room and what appears to be a kitchenette but in fact doesn't have a cooker or microwave.... More
