I have stayed at many hotels in Montevideo and Vivaldi is by far the best in this price range. Very clean, very quiet, close to restaurants, shopping and Rio de La Plata. I was impressed that they take Covid precautions seriously compared to nearby hotels where I have stayed. Vivaldi Hotel is the best option.

The hotel is in a very good location, the problem is that the reception service is terrible. When I arrived at the hotel to check in, I went to the bar and ordered a soft drink to take away. What was in the room's minibar was not consumed.
When checking out, they charged me US$4.00 for the soft drink, which I thought was absurd, I complained and they told me that was it.

Hotel located in a neighborhood with many alternative cafes and restaurants nearby.
Good cleanliness and attention, as well as the breakfast, buffet with variety and abundance. The rooms on the upper floors are spacious and have terraces. Be careful with rear-facing rooms, because they are very very hot and the air conditioning is controlled centrally. In the morning it is impossible to sleep past 7am, otherwise you will melt.

If you want to enjoy your stay, I would not recommend this hotel.
Although the location is very good, the facilities are good, the service they provide is terrible.
In my experience the cleaning is terrible, the room has a bad smell, the bedding is stained, glasses are impossible to use due to their dirt.
The attention of its employees (with some exceptions) is respectful but totally inefficient, zero empathy with the guest, not solving the problems that arose and giving implausible excuses.
-The first day we left at 10 in the morning and told them to make our room, we returned at 4 to shower because we had an event at 6:30 p.m., the room was not made and the excuse was that they had had many expenses and The priority was to make those rooms first.
-When the room was ready we found that we only had one towel (we were 3 people). The answer was “there are no more towels in the entire building because the laundry didn't bring them and there wouldn't be any until the next day.” When We complained to reception, they brought us 2 more bath towels (one stained and one wet). And the hand towels? There aren't any until tomorrow.
-We are going to go down the elevator and when we go up a cleaning employee literally closed the door in our faces because “I go up” and we went down.
Although we have serious problems, your patience is exhausted and you feel that you paid for a service offered that in the end they do not give you, the fact that they do not have towels is incredible and that you do not have the room ready because there are many expenses that day too.
What they are very. They are efficient in charging you, they charged you upon arrival and at the rate they give you when you reserve (I booked through the page and the day before I called to confirm the reservation and the given rate) they add the VAT which is fine, I paid it without a problem although in a certain way They deceive you. When I asked for the invoice they told me “ahh, you need an invoice.”
Don't go if you want to enjoy your stay or if you don't want to clean your room and take towels in case you have the crazy idea of taking a shower.

Great location and hotel in need of renovation. If you like a good breakfast, give it up! The pillows are terrible and the photos on the website are deceiving! One day there was no hot water and the next the coffee toasters didn't work because the circuit breaker had tripped. Reception service is good and the restaurant (cafe) is almost non-existent - they only show up to ask for a room number. I won't go back and I don't recommend it!

The location of the hotel is great, quiet neighborhood with several restaurant options, nearby shopping malls, etc. However, the hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired!!! Very poor breakfast, few options, and what is available are not tasty. The tidiness of the room also leaves something to be desired, on one of the days when we arrived from the street the bathroom was empty of towels.
I suggest improvement in these points, in addition to the fact that only the reception service is good. The breakfast and staff we encountered at the hotel were almost non-existent.

Excellent location of the hotel, close to the commercial center and shopping centers. Its reception and restaurant, tidy and clean. Very rich breakfast, redeemable better attention from the service staff. The rooms are comfortable, improving complete linen is not bad, but it could be of better quality. The quality of the reception staff is incredible

Good hotel located in the beautiful and quiet area of Punta Carretas.
The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. I found the bathroom too small, compared to the room, and for a hotel of this category.
Breakfast was good. It had variety and everything was delicious. I missed a little more variety of fruit.
The hotel has parking, but we were able to park in the area without problem. Some streets had prohibitions, so you have to pay close attention to where you can park.

Hotel classified 4 stars but overall quite mediocre, very old elevators, large rooms but if you go to the lower floors the view is literally the balcony of the
neighbor. What I do highlight is the buffet breakfast, which was good, and its location close to everything.

We got the dirty room, with leaks in the bathroom, blood spots on the bed, bad service. The only hotel that was not given the VAT disclosure and still said that because we are foreigners we would not be entitled. My only mind-videos with this behavior. Old hotel, finished, not worth the diary we paid. Bad breakfast. I will return to Uruguay, but I will never stay in this hotel again. My children hated it. Worst hotel in Montevideo.

Hi Natasha, your best bet to get an answer on this would be to contact the Hotel directly, rather than through tripadvisor.

We apologise for the delay in our response. We have suites with beautiful terraces. You could see some pictures on our web site: vivaldihotel.uy The buildings next to the hotel still generate some noise and unfortunately we can not predict on what days or times. We remain at your disposal for any further question. Kind regards
