Beautiful hotel in the heart of the city that I can't recommend enough. Great rooms, professional and friendly staff, easy to get to, comfortable and fully appointed rooms and bathrooms. The restaurant looked good too (but I didn't make it there).
I always stay at the Smart Hotel when I visit Montevideo, and my most recent visit was the best yet! The staff are incredible, extremely courteous and professional, and were able to move me to my favorite terrace room in the hotel (with beautiful views). The location is unbeatable, and the hotel is an incredible value for the room size and amenities. My favorite hotel. Highly recommend!
We had an awesome time at the hotel. Since the check in till check out the attention from all the staff was more than expected. They have great accommodations with modern looking. The shower is no doubt the best you can expect. Great internet speed that allowed me to work and watch my favorite series as well. Breakfast very decent with options and if you need to have lunch there you can also find great variety of plates to choose from. Attentive staff they greet you always and if you need anything they will go to get it for you. Truly recommend staying with them.
All good despite junior staff and less than clean room. The location is good. The no-nonsense minimalistic decor is perfect. WiFi works good enough. Adjacent bar/restaurant a definite Plus. As highly allergic I would have preferred a extra clean room…
Booked this hotel (superior room) for two nights for a great rate through booking.com. Took Uber from the airport to the hotel. Uber has a designated spot for pickup on 2nd floor outside the airport. Was around $19. Reception staff spoke very good English and were helpful with directions. Great natural light in Room 906 with city view. Toiletries consist of bar soap and bulk shampoo, gel and conditioner. Shower only with bidet in bathroom. Recently renovated. Queen comfy bed. No washcloth. Good, free wifi in rooms. Good locations for many of the area's attractions but area is a little seedy (which much of Montevideo appears to be). Included breakfast had many breads, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, wieners, bacon, juices, milk and pastries. Not a huge spread as there are only 65 rooms in hotel but very good. Minibar in room. Club nearby which was noisy on Sunday morning-must have all night clubs? We had an early bus leaving Montevideo that day so we were up anyway. Was less expensive to take a regular taxi to Tres Cruces bus terminal than Uber on Sunday morning so be sure to compare prices. Would stay here again.…
Almost everything was top-notch. Newly renovated, clean, eco-friendly, personable staff, great breakfast. They surpassed expectations. Great value as well! They even had bikes to rent which I took full advantage of.
So nice accommodation, very friendly staff and well educated on a reception desk and at the restaurant. They let us early check in twice as our flight has delayed and we were to stay extra night. We enjoyed the breakfast, everything was perfect
Clean, spacious, comfortable, very close to Plaza Independencia, in the middle of Ciudad Vieja, but on a quiet tree-lined street. The windows open so I enjoyed a beautiful breezy summer night. Decor is modern and clean, but warm. Bath is more spacious than I had experienced in other hotels. The staff are excellent, bilingual, responsive even in the middle of the night when I was trying to confirm my online reservation went through, and stowed my bags very seamlessly. Had an excellent dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. I would definitely return.
Clean and big rooms with a nice bathroom and good bed. Very nice and helpful staff and a good location. The hotel room had a couch and a sink as well which was nice as we did not pay more to get that.
I had the corner room / flat so I could see Plaza independencia from my room Clean modern design of my room and hotel and best of everything Breakfast good choice from healty to less healty ok staff was fantastic aswell
