It is a very good option in Montevideo downtown. The area is near the Old City and the Harbour Market. A lot of buses are available just a block from the hotel. The room is good, but the bathroom could be better and bigger. The internet doesn't run so well.

We were in town for the Mundial Poético and the Oxford was where the organizers had us stay. The first room we saw (on the 3rd floor) was unsatisfying--no real window, light, air. We asked for a room higher-up, which we were immediately given, 705, and it was quite nice. Air, light, a view that allows one to see the...

I am writing this review while still staying at the Oxford Hotel, at least the Wi Fi works half decently. They put me on the 9th floor of the hotel and while doing the check-in everything was OK, then the receptionist tells me I need to the take the elevator to the left, "the small one". I got to the...

Average hotel, with average service, average beds and average food. There's nothing to complain, but also i did not see anything particularly good either. Everything is clean, but the decoration is just ugly. location is GREAT, though. Is near to the most iconic places of the city, theaters and restaurants.

Well located, but old and dirty. Carpet at Elevators, curtains at Room, bathroom, tables at breakfast . Everything is old. They need an URGENT improovement. I would recommend to stay in a hostel half block from here, which is more cosy and confortable. And Clean. I stayed 3 days, and I could not sleep at all. Ok with the air...

'm in Oxford hotel right now. This hotel is a good option if you don't want to expend much money and have good night of sleep. Rooms are clean, the bathroom is good and good internet connection for basic use. But the A/c in my room was not in working condition. The staff is helpful. Break fast was good and...

We stayed there two nights. I got the "runs" that lasted for 4 days. I'm not sure if it was from the breakfast buffet, which was second rate or from the restaurant that the hotel referred us to. The restaurant was extremely overpriced and we could not even eat the meat. My husband was charged $24 for one drink at...

I booked in this hotel because it seemed affordable and everything else was booked. The place is not the best hotel in Montevideo, despite the luxurious entrance, but the rooms are clean, breakfast is good and is very well located from the Ciudad Vieja (downtown) where most of the touristic places are. The receptionists are friendly and willing to help....

From the moment we arrived, until the last moment we left, the Oxford personnel were very friendly, kind, and helpful with all our needs. The bed was very comfortable, the room had a 32'' TV, very clean. Probably the bathroom could be better (it is a little bit old). Our room didn't have a view, but we weren't looking for...
