Uruguay is a nice country, with lovely people, enormous artistic and cultural baggage, pretty landscapes and peaceful and safe cities but the old Montevideo looks like a place suspended in time, with a cold, sad, dirty city, silent people, old and obscure streets and numerous beggars asking for money on the streets...Inside that city, this hotel is an exact extensión... Stayed one night only, thank heavens.! The foyer on entry is quite nice, very clean. Presents well. Terribly rude uninterested man on reception. Check out, another rude man. Seems to be a common thing in Uruguay. They don't like anyone who doesn't speak Spanish. There have been few reviews on Hotel Crystal Palace in recent times. Unsure why. Room 401... More

We got here on Sunday morning, and they left breakfast open for us. Which was a big variety of: cereal, breads, pancakes, bacon, eggs, fruit, juice, ham, milk (tasted bad a couple days), etc. Went up to are rooms which ranged in size from looking like a walk in closet to really big. Bathrooms were very nice, other than a... More

The hotel has a privileged localization. It is not necessary to walk far to find good restaurants and other attractions. The hotel service is good and the rooms are very spacious. The breakfast is wonderful.

The Crystal Tower Palace is recognized with a 4 star class. Who believes? I stayed in this downtown hotel for three nights while working nearby in a conference. I did not have much of a choice, otherwise would have preferred. Although the hotel claims to be brand new it has those old style bathroom that hit the exhauster when you... More

I arrived happy to Montevideo for a vacation. I was charged 20.00 dollars for early arrival at 8 am (no receipt issued). In the first hour I was lead to a room that had the elevator motor noise and hammering as they said was due to a construction in the next building. Five times, all before 9 am, I was... More

The hotel is in a very good location, in the main avenue of the city and a 10 minute walk from Plaza Independencia, the Rambla and the old city center. Price was also very reasonable and the rooms were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was good, but not much variety.

If youre looking for excellent location, for a good price, this is the place. At the center of town, and on the main street of the city, it puts you 5 minutrs from Independence sq ( walking), 5 minutes from the main bus station ( taxi), and 5 minutes from the riverside beaches ( walking). Services i tried here were... More

Although simple and small, the hotel has the essential a guest needs. It is clean, breakfast is good, the location is excellent. The only problem is that you can't have a meal in the hotel. They offer some snacks or drinks only. Another problem is that there is no leisure area. No fitness center, no swimming pool. I recommend for... More
