Old historical place, very well maintained, comfortable rooms, wonderfull mountain views, excellent restaurant. Service was very friendly and helpfull in planning activities in the area. Ideal place to explore Sacred Valley. Regretfully we spent there only four nights, we should have been there much longer.

We were part of an organized tour. I think tours use this hotel quite a bit. It's lower in altitude than Cusco, and for an initiation to altitude, it's a good place to start. The hotel provides oxygen for small tips! The hotel is in a lovely setting, beautifully maintained gardens. The town it's in doesn't have much to offer... More

The building was once a monastery that housed nuns. One can easily locate the name of the num who once occupied your room. The whole layout of the facility is architecturally quite stunning with beautiful gardens; however, one wonders why air conditioning was not installed when the buildings were refurbished. The room was quite stuffy and made sleep difficult. Too... More

My wife and I recently enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Sonesta Posadas del Inca Yucay, a remodeled Spanish monastery dating from the 1700s, nestled next to a mountain in the Valle Sagrado of Peru. Beautifully landscaped gardens and courtyards, with flowers and fragrant herbs, the enclosed grounds contained many original buildings from the monastery, including a picturesque old church... More

My wife and I recently enjoyed an organised tour of Peru. On Thursday 27th October we left Cusco to start a two day tour of the Sacred Valley. In the morning a small group of us, about eight to ten people, visited Ollantaytambo and then called in for lunch at this hotel. The buffet lunch was excellent and we were... More

We spend a night at the hotel on our way to Machu Picchu. It is an old convent converted to a hotel The surroundings are fantastic with beautiful glower gardens, church ( not sure if it is operational) , quaint cafe , dining room and a full bar We saw a few Alpacas roaming on the hotel Which was nice... You will never forget the beautiful setting and rooms that are available at this hotel in the Sacred Valley. We had an end room with views over the gardens. The setting is serene and the accommodations were excellent. The complimentary breakfast was just okay. It wasn't much to sustain you for the day. You can't beat the environment. There was... More

We were on a trip with our friend Annette and kids from her school as well as our kids. The resort was ever so accommodating. The rooms were great, the water pressure strong, the beers cold and they had an ice cream store which was a hit. I would highly recommend this property and I do not say that easily!

This is a renovated monastery with beautiful grounds and great hospitality. When we arrived we were greeted with a typical fruit drink. We did not have to leave the premises as they have a restaurant, a coffee/sandwich shop, a pizza shop and a small bar in the lobby. The rooms were gorgeous although modestly sized as expected in a monastery.... More
