Our 3 hectares property is quite special. It is located in the archaeological area of Querocancha in Urubamba, in the heart of the Sacred Valley. We have Inca ruins just above our bungalows, and it takes 30 minutes to visit them. Our rooms have a very nice decoration with local resources and andean decoration. Our cozy restaurant offers a healthy and delicious menu, that incorporates the resources that we cultivate in our property. We also have two unique places for meditation, yoga or other similar practices: a dome with the walls covered with the amazing art of the Dutch artist Gam Klutier and a stone laberynth. Our gardens are beautiful and a demonstration of our biodiversity. The hotel is located next to our Foundation. The school, where we give quality education for 250 children between 3 and 14 years old that live in vulnerable conditions, is the heart of the foundation.

The place is located in a wonderful garden park with a gorgeous abundant flora and fauna including big trees and beautiful flowers. One day I went hiking in the mountains around, another I just stayed and enjoyed the very well kept premises. The bungalows are spacious and top notch, what a treat to have a real fireplace to warm it at night. And of course the staff which are welcoming and make you feel right at home. I already recommended this place to my friends.

We stayed at this hotel which is part of the Fundation Ninos del Arco Iris, which helps provide children with education and healthcare. I think this is enough reason to go and stay there and support a good cause, but if it is not the hotel offers plenty more reasons. The rooms are nice and clean, the beds are great, the food is delicious and the service is super. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. Everything you need to rest up and enjoy.

A wonderful little B&B type inn and set of bungalows tucked away at the edge of urubamba next to a mountain. Arty and natural vibes. The garden and grounds are beautiful. The stone maze was perfect for a walking meditation.

Most importantly attached to a school and orphanage that I believe is partially funded by guests. It’s a 10-15 minute taxi or tuk tuk ride from central Urubamba up a dirt road and could be walkable. All meals served and delicious, though breakfast was a bit light. We stayed in the main casa in a charming rustic room with a shared bath. We only heard other guests having breakfast one morning out of four before us.

There is a very nice hike up the Pumahuanca valley nearby that includes a set of Incan ruins on the way to the entrance of a high alpine.valley.

The place is beautiful and surrounded by nature. The room is very spacious and the hotel has a very nice mission. However, I think it would be good to highlight some points so that they can improve:

There is a school at the front of the hotel and the noise is so loud that you can not work or do anything. I was expecting to work during the morning while having breakfast but was almost impossible. In addition to that, the wifi works poorly (specially in the rooms).
The room was gorgeous but unfortunately was very cold and I couldn’t use the jacuzzi because there wasn’t hot water, nor the fireplace as the room got plenty of smoke and the fire turned off quickly.
This feedback was shared with the owner of the hotel and she was nice but couldn’t resolve any of the things. Hope the feedback is helpful as the place is not cheap, and also it has great potential to improve.

The hotel-staff was very helpful at all times, providing us with the option of renting a van to undertake some excursions in the Sacred Valley. They room were amazing, spacious, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything one might need during their stay and more. Breakfast and dinner was lovely, full of locally grown fresh products. And as this wasn't enough; the setting surrounded by beautiful gardens made the picture complete. I would love to back as soon as I get the chance.

I stayed 4 nights and I was extremely satisfied with the place , the environment, the food and the servers. Valeria was very helpful and available whenever I had a question or a request. It was nice to see the kids and their teachers playing music and dancing. Everyone was very polite and the place is beautiful and calm. I was able to do yoga at the “cúpula” and bring a papacho to perform “ ofrenda a la Pachamama” . Thank you so much and I will definitely come back

If you’re planning a trip to Machu Picchu, Las Casitas del Arco Iris is an outstanding stop-off point in Urubamba, the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Surrounded by spectacular views of the Andes, the hotel is an oasis of calm and tranquility. We stayed in one of the fabulous bungalows, which had a rusticly quaint bathroom and its own terrace and fireplace. Accessed through the grounds of a school, the hotel has its own pretty gardens, a homely restaurant and even a ‘yoga dome’. The staff are wonderful and the meals are delicious and beautifully presented. The profits from the hotel support a children’s foundation which provides education and health services to families in the Sacred Valley. All in all, this is a very special place.

What a special property and experience. Beautiful grounds, spacious and cozy rooms, and the most attentive and delightful staff. It was our daughter’s birthday and they went above and beyond to make her feel special. We didn’t want to leave and will not soon forget our time at Casitas Arco Iris. Highly recommend this property.
