#5 of 93 Specialty lodging in Urubamba
Our 3 hectares property is quite special. It is located in the archaeological area of Querocancha in Urubamba, in the heart of the Sacred Valley. We have Inca ruins just above our bungalows, and it takes 30 minutes to visit them. Our rooms have a very nice decoration with local resources and andean decoration. Our cozy restaurant offers a healthy and delicious menu, that incorporates the resources that we cultivate in our property. We also have two unique places for meditation, yoga or other similar practices: a dome with the walls covered with the amazing art of the Dutch artist Gam Klutier and a stone laberynth. Our gardens are beautiful and a demonstration of our biodiversity. The hotel is located next to our Foundation. The school, where we give quality education for 180 children between 3 and 14 years old that live in vulnerable conditions, is the heart of the foundation.

My friend and I spent four nights here acclimatising, but also going out on regular day trips with Day Hikes Peru. It's a very beautiful place to stay in Urubamba, with delightful gardens and wonderful staff. The food is superb, and everything is spotlessly clean. People really could not do enough for us; the hospitality was humbling. The reason this hotel exists is to fund the adjacent school which supports extremely disadvantaged Peruvian children. Here those children have the opportunity to learn, receive dental and medical care, and to have a childhood. We could hear the children laughing together in the mornings in the playground. Victoria, the manager, took us on a tour of the premises, and I feel glad that my payment for the hotel went to such a worthy cause; I hope the school continues to flourish in the future. I would like to mention Juan and the staff in the kitchen who catered for our every whim; thank you for your kindness and patience! And thanks to Victoria, the manager, whose excellent English allowed us to understand much about the organisation and environment.

We had a wonderful stay for three days at Las casitas del arco iris. We loved the details of the hotel and the beautiful gardens (so beautiful that I decided to propose to my fiancee there!☺️). The staff, especially Victoria and Juan, provided an excellent and friendly service. Furthermore, the profits of the hotel go to a great cause, going to the foundation niños del arco iris which supports local children. We recommend this lovely hotel and hope to return one day!

Boutique like hotel in the sacred valley, with a non profit foundation support. Don't get scared by the location, because once you enter the gate, you'll find yourself in a very well maintained garden/hotel/foundation, that will take your breadth away. The staff is super friendly, helpful and the food come straight from their backyards. Will strongly recommend it!

It was lovely to stay here knowing that everything we paid was helping to support disadvantaged Peruvian children. The children were practising their dancing when we arrived, which was a great welcome. The grounds that the bungalows sit in are very peaceful and the staff are eager to please. We found it incredibly cold even with a fire and 2 heaters, which slightly tainted our stay at Las Casitas. However, the room was very comfortable, big bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, towelling robes and slippers plus plenty of wood for an open fire. The meals were good and the staff were very accommodating about timing meals to when suited us. A great base to explore the Sacred Valley!

Lovely location with separate bungalows. Can be cold at night but ask for extra heaters. Food is homely and service is very friendly. It is not easy to go somewhere else for dinner but we only stayed two nights. Profits go to the school on site to help with deprived children and so it also in a good cause.
