A wonderful little B&B type inn and set of bungalows tucked away at the edge of urubamba next to a mountain. Arty and natural vibes. The garden and grounds are beautiful. The stone maze was perfect for a walking meditation. Most importantly attached to a school and orphanage that I believe is partially funded by guests. It’s a 10-15 minute taxi or tuk tuk ride from central Urubamba up a dirt road and could be walkable. All meals served and delicious, though breakfast was a bit light. We stayed in the main casa in a charming rustic room with a shared bath. We only heard other guests having breakfast one morning out of four before us. There is a very nice hike up the Pumahuanca valley nearby that includes a set of Incan ruins on the way to the entrance of a high alpine.valley.…
The hotel-staff was very helpful at all times, providing us with the option of renting a van to undertake some excursions in the Sacred Valley. They room were amazing, spacious, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything one might need during their stay and more. Breakfast and dinner was lovely, full of locally grown fresh products. And as this wasn't enough; the setting surrounded by beautiful gardens made the picture complete. I would love to back as soon as I get the chance.
Fabulous hotel, rather secluded but fabulous rooms and staff, very good menu for the day beautiful grounds to wander around. This is a foundation and the grounds are beautiful, lively to see the school incorporated into the grounds … fabulous place to stay
The place is beautiful and surrounded by nature. The room is very spacious and the hotel has a very nice mission. However, I think it would be good to highlight some points so that they can improve: There is a school at the front of the hotel and the noise is so loud that you can not work or do anything. I was expecting to work during the morning while having breakfast but was almost impossible. In addition to that, the wifi works poorly (specially in the rooms). The room was gorgeous but unfortunately was very cold and I couldn’t use the jacuzzi because there wasn’t hot water, nor the fireplace as the room got plenty of smoke and the fire turned off quickly. This feedback was shared with the owner of the hotel and she was nice but couldn’t resolve any of the things. Hope the feedback is helpful as the place is not cheap, and also it has great potential to improve.…
The place is located in a wonderful garden park with a gorgeous abundant flora and fauna including big trees and beautiful flowers. One day I went hiking in the mountains around, another I just stayed and enjoyed the very well kept premises. The bungalows are spacious and top notch, what a treat to have a real fireplace to warm it at night. And of course the staff which are welcoming and make you feel right at home. I already recommended this place to my friends.
What a special property and experience. Beautiful grounds, spacious and cozy rooms, and the most attentive and delightful staff. It was our daughter’s birthday and they went above and beyond to make her feel special. We didn’t want to leave and will not soon forget our time at Casitas Arco Iris. Highly recommend this property.
My friend and I spent four nights here acclimatising, but also going out on regular day trips with Day Hikes Peru. It's a very beautiful place to stay in Urubamba, with delightful gardens and wonderful staff. The food is superb, and everything is spotlessly clean. People really could not do enough for us; the hospitality was humbling. The reason this hotel exists is to fund the adjacent school which supports extremely disadvantaged Peruvian children. Here those children have the opportunity to learn, receive dental and medical care, and to have a childhood. We could hear the children laughing together in the mornings in the playground. Victoria, the manager, took us on a tour of the premises, and I feel glad that my payment for the hotel went to such a worthy cause; I hope the school continues to flourish in the future. I would like to mention Juan and the staff in the kitchen who catered for our every whim; thank you for your kindness and patience! And thanks to Victoria, the manager, whose excellent English allowed us to understand much about the organisation and environment.…
We had a wonderful stay for three days at Las casitas del arco iris. We loved the details of the hotel and the beautiful gardens (so beautiful that I decided to propose to my fiancee there!☺️). The staff, especially Victoria and Juan, provided an excellent and friendly service. Furthermore, the profits of the hotel go to a great cause, going to the foundation niños del arco iris which supports local children. We recommend this lovely hotel and hope to return one day!
Boutique like hotel in the sacred valley, with a non profit foundation support. Don't get scared by the location, because once you enter the gate, you'll find yourself in a very well maintained garden/hotel/foundation, that will take your breadth away. The staff is super friendly, helpful and the food come straight from their backyards. Will strongly recommend it!
It was lovely to stay here knowing that everything we paid was helping to support disadvantaged Peruvian children. The children were practising their dancing when we arrived, which was a great welcome. The grounds that the bungalows sit in are very peaceful and the staff are eager to please. We found it incredibly cold even with a fire and 2 heaters, which slightly tainted our stay at Las Casitas. However, the room was very comfortable, big bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, towelling robes and slippers plus plenty of wood for an open fire. The meals were good and the staff were very accommodating about timing meals to when suited us. A great base to explore the Sacred Valley!
