Like the other reviews you may have seen we stayed here for two nights before going to Machu Pichu. Our Gate-1 tour arranged for this hotel and several other Gate-1 or other tour groups were there as well. The rooms were clean and basic. In late September we did not need AC and none is available in the rooms. The... More

We stayed here recently for a couple nights on our way to Machu Pichu. Found the public areas and gardens have a lovely atmosphere. Rooms and bathrooms are basic, but clean. Our room was on the second floor in the back of the hotel. Our rooms were pretty quiet at night. Weather was cool while we were there. Don't think... More

Stayed at this hotel for two nights. The hotel was clean and the staff was great. I was sick from the altitude and the staff gave me oxygen which helped. The meals and the hotel were good. There is not much to do in the area surrounding the hotel. There is a little store across the street where you can buy... More

Considering the limited hotel options in the area, we stayed here due to the location to the town of Ollantaytambo and its train station which takes you to Machu Picchu Upon arrival, we were met at the lobby desk with unfriendly staff who seemed inexperienced to cope with more than 1 person checking in at a time. Additional visits to... More

We stayed here for two nights before heading to Machu Picchu-- a great place to rest up and get used to the altitude. We had massages here that were very good and had great staff at the front desk. Easy place to walk to store across the street for drinks/wine/cheap hats- very nice mother/daughter there! And convenient to local restaurants--... More

The hotel is good, the wifi network is very weak and the reception gets very crowded when groups are there and do not follow up on your requests. Real problem is that there is nothing to do in Urubamba. Unless you have a guided tour arranged, do not go there. Stay in Cusco/Aguas Calientes or anywhere you have arranged a... More

The garden area is beautiful! Our room was clean, large and opened onto a garden. There were ants in the bathroom but they didn't get into our stuff. There wasn't much in the area. We took "motor taxis" to the main boulevard for 2 soles. We were not aware that Ollantaytambo was about 20 minutes away and there is plenty... More

Rooms were nice and large. Good breakfast. Lovely grounds/flowers/surrounding area. Restaurant is good but this is not your only option because it is a short walk into town. Couple of stores across the street if you need to stock up on bottled water. I recommend this hotel.

The place was very charming. I loved how they showcase the local products from the valley incorporated in the hotel's decor. They offer a great selection of buffet breakfast and you can also order ala carte. I ordered their Lomo Saltado one evening and it was quite very good and tasty. One drawback for me was the location. The surrounding community looks... More
