This is a simple, fairly rustic hotel. It is also quite isolated, but there is a store opposite the hotel where you can buy water, snacks and other supplies. Our room was adequate in size and passably clean. The bathroom reasonably spacious and very clean, with a good hot shower. There was a bin next to the toilet for used... More

We stayed here through Gate 1 Tours. This hotel is not located near many stores or restaurants so you have to walk about 15 minutes to get to the town square. The room was clean and spacious but the TV was only about 20 inches and attached to the other end of the room so it was difficult to watch.The... More

My husband and I stayed here two nights prior to going to Machu Picchu, like most of the other reviews. Our room was clean and yes we didn't have AC, however this was not needed in October. Weather was 60-low 70s during the day and 40s at night. Wifi worked fine for us and there were actually a few English... More

We stayed here through Gate 1 Tours. Situated in the Scared Valley...Sort of plain on the outside, but ever so beautiful grounds when you enter, what I would term old world Colonial charm. We were impressed. Nicely landscaped and inviting. It is at a high altitude, so make use of the provided and complimentary 24/7 coca tea, which is reputed... More

We joined Gate1 Travel and stayed in this hotel on September for two nights in Room 148. The location of the hotel was very isolated, there was absolutely nothing around. Our room was okay except the bathroom. The bathtub and the wall was full of mold, it was very disgusting. The light was out in our bathroom, contacted the front... More

Like the other reviews you may have seen we stayed here for two nights before going to Machu Pichu. Our Gate-1 tour arranged for this hotel and several other Gate-1 or other tour groups were there as well. The rooms were clean and basic. In late September we did not need AC and none is available in the rooms. The... More

We stayed here recently for a couple nights on our way to Machu Pichu. Found the public areas and gardens have a lovely atmosphere. Rooms and bathrooms are basic, but clean. Our room was on the second floor in the back of the hotel. Our rooms were pretty quiet at night. Weather was cool while we were there. Don't think... More

Stayed at this hotel for two nights. The hotel was clean and the staff was great. I was sick from the altitude and the staff gave me oxygen which helped. The meals and the hotel were good. There is not much to do in the area surrounding the hotel. There is a little store across the street where you can buy... More

Considering the limited hotel options in the area, we stayed here due to the location to the town of Ollantaytambo and its train station which takes you to Machu Picchu Upon arrival, we were met at the lobby desk with unfriendly staff who seemed inexperienced to cope with more than 1 person checking in at a time. Additional visits to... More

We stayed here for two nights before heading to Machu Picchu-- a great place to rest up and get used to the altitude. We had massages here that were very good and had great staff at the front desk. Easy place to walk to store across the street for drinks/wine/cheap hats- very nice mother/daughter there! And convenient to local restaurants--... More
