I visited Hatun Wasi three times this season with clients for yoga retreats and a family vacation. Every one of us LOVED it. The owners and staff are warm, friendly, professional. From the first moment I met Isabel, who co-owns the retreat center with her husband, I knew I had found a home in Peru! She is amazing, and I...

Every morning I walked out of my room into a beautiful garden surrounded by incredible mountains where I had Andean breakfast and just a peaceful time to myself. The green grass was very soft, making it perfect to stretch out, read a book and soak up some sun. The wonderful Isabel and Ernesto (owners) were eager to share places to...

I stayed at Hatun Wasi with my daughter and son in law on a trip to Maccu Piccchu and the Sacred Valley. Our guide Jennifer had been there with other groups previously. Hatun Wasi is a real gem. The grounds are lovely with beautiful flowers and plants all around the large property which is enclosed by a high wall. Isabela...

OK, I don't like to complain about everything. I stayed here with a tour group;OAT. This place is sort of out in the country. There was nothing around it. We ate breakfast and dinner here. I wasn't very hungry, but the food not very good. The rooms were bare. There were no chairs or tables or lamps, It was odd...

Our OAT guide had told us that this was a "basic" hotel. But it was so much more than just a hotel. Each room opens directly to a lush open area filled with all kinds of trees & plants, with water gurgling in Inca-style conduits. The whole complex is enclosed in a high adobe wall with biiiiiiig gates. Hot water...

The Hatun Wasi lodge is tucked off the road behind an adobe wall that holds a magical garden of tropical, desert and fruit bearing plants all peacefully co-existing at 11,000 feet. From the garden you can gaze up at the towering Andes by day and millions of stars by night. The hosts are gracious and attentive. When one of our...

We traveled there in December 2009 at part of an OAT tour. This hotel is beautiful and very relaxing. The owners were charming and this two stay day here will be one on the most farovite parts of our entire trip in Peru and Equador.

I planned my trip in advance... and planned 5 days at Hatun Wasi as our base from which to explore the Sacred Valley ( basing our decision on the reviews on this site, ). For months I planned things.. needing to email Isabel over and over.. she was so friendly and so patient with me ! By the time I...

Flowers, hummingbirds, gurgling stream, and hammocks. Excellent food made by loving hands. This is exactly what world-weary travelers need. Ernesto and Isabel have an excellent staff that are well-trained and attentive to details. This was a wonderful experience.
