Spent the first night here to get over the high altitude sickness. Amazing service and people. Very helpful, great food and drinks. Best part is the hotels can handle all your travel arrangements to Machu Picchu and they have their own train station that is a 4 minute walk from the lobby!

This is a wonderful property in a truly beautiful area and makes a good base for seeing the sacred valley. Being lower than Cusco it is also easier to acclimate to the altitude. The staff are warm and very helpful and the hotel is extremely well run. It is a great place to relax for a few days. The small... More

This would have to be the best hotel we have ever stayed in, world wide, and we have stayed in a few. Rooms large and exquisite decor. Beds very comfortable, great linen. The resteraunt amazing, truly world standard. Service second to none. Grounds just beautiful, with river walks to die for.

This is my second visit to Tambo del Inka and it remains my favorite place on earth. This time I brought my parents, who had always wanted to visit Machu Picchu and of course the concierge had everything arranged before we arrived, including the train ride from their private station. The many offered excursions highlight the fascinating Andean culture, but... More

The best hotel, hands down! The property is gorgeous like an upscale country lodge. We arrived late in the evening via train from Aguas Calientes/ Machu Picchu and before we even pulled up, the hotel staff were at the station waiting to meet us and take our luggage to bring us to the hotel lobby where they led us to... The property is outstanding. Its setting is magical, surrounded by snow capped Andes Mountains: what could be better!! The public areas are so very well appointed, warm and so inviting as well as relaxing for any traveler, before or after a visit to MachuPicchu. The guest rooms are large and continue the decor of the public areas. and enhance the... More

Gorgeous property with lovely rooms and grounds. Beautiful restaurant with amazing breakfast! Great service and a perfect location for exploring the Sacred Valley. We enjoyed the lovely pool and walked to the local market which was so interesting and colorful.

Two 40something couples traveling through Peru. Palacio del Inka in Cusco (3 stars) Hotel Paracas in Paracas (3 stars - that was being generous) Tambo del Inka was TOP NOTCH. I wasn't able to issue the 5 star rating because the bar service was ridiculously slow and we had an issue with the spa offerings (more on that later). We... More

Our favorite hotel! Unique, beautiful, great service. You can't go wrong here. Food was good. Dinning area really special. Rooms comfortable and large. Only complaint was that there was not a jacuzzi for men.
