The place is really nice and quiet, manned by wonderful staff that could assist you in the things you need. Germain the manager will help you in whatever way he can. And yes if I’m heading back to Peru I’ll stay in here again.
This is a few miles off the main road and at one point we were wondering if the drive over small bumpy roads was worth it - oh yes it is! We pulled up to the reception and it was like arriving in a magical forest. The setting is amazing as is the hospitality. The rooms are big, well appointed with big comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. Our room had a fireplace and there was a private hot tub in a small courtyard. We had big skylights so when the sun was up the room brightened (if you want to sleep late you may want a different room). The dinner was delicious as was the breakfast (included) in the morning.
We stayed just one night at this lodge after touring the Sacred Valley. The hotel was very well kept and had beautiful rooms. My favorite part of the stay was playing with the two kittens that lived there and talking with the employees while we had dinner. Thank you for the great hospitality!
We stayed in the suite pictured here for two nights. Pedrito, one of their adorable kitties, gave us an unexpected and smile-inducing welcome and he even stayed for a siesta with me. Germán was diligent and very helpful in giving us all the information we needed, making great suggestions for lunch at Terra, and getting our breakfasts-to-go and trips organized while we were there. The hot shower was a most welcome treat after our long walk in Machu Picchu. Lighting the fire in the room after the sun set created the perfect ambiance for restful nights under the stars. We loved our stay there!
Wow!! What a gorgeous place. This hotel was tucked away on top of a mountain and it was heaven! It is a bit out of the way from urubamba, so you can't really go anywhere once you're there unless you take a taxi. It's covered in all kinds of flowers and hummingbirds. The rooms are beautiful and rustic. Each room has a fireplace. We stayed in the suite with the Jacuzzi for part of our stay, and loved it. (It takes about 2 hrs to fill). The only thing that was a bit odd is that we were the only ones staying in the hotel at the time and it can be a little scary being all alone up there in the middle of nowhere, with no ppl, no staff, no tv except the 2 hotel kittens that kept us company. It did give us more time for eachother. Overall, if you want to be away and disconnect i would highly recommend this beautiful, unforgettable place. Tip: do not use the hotel's taxi service. Its very expensive compared to a regular taxi. On 1 day trip alone we saved 250 soles by using a regular taxi.…
