The perfect vacation from which to explore Peru. Very roomy accommodations, excellent vegetarian food, friendly, helpful staff ensuring we had the best experience. When traveling with a group, theee are amazing tour/activities at the site to local attractions. We will miss Terry, Tristan, Roxanna, Mario and Verena. This was a one in a lifetime trip but we must come back and revisit Wilka Tika
Truly this trip was magical - spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically. Willka Tika was a perfect place for a yoga retreat. Accommodations were great, it was quiet and a peaceful retreat following our jam packed tour days. I leave a better person having experienced Perú.
This is a wonderful place to stay. The grounds and the yoga facilities are amazing. The staff and the food are first rate. The guides were so knowledgeable and spoke English so well. Peru is safe and a great place to visit. 🥰
Willka T'ika will forever hold a special place in my heart. Staff, grounds, food were all wonderful. I've never stayed in a place that treated me with the level of care that I received here. I will return.
Wilka Tika was the first stop on a yoga and meditation journey through the Sacred Valley, and it set the bar very high. The place is an oasis of beauty, from the gardens to the art that's integrated into the buildings and landscapes...a sensory feast! The food was delicious and prepared with love. The room was serene and welcoming. The scent of jasmine wafting from the garden; the towering Andes in the background; Apu the dog...so much to enjoy. On top of that, I was practicing yoga with two extraordinary teachers. The studio we used felt like home. This place was extraordinary in so many ways. It left an imprint on my heart.
Wonderful retreat, food, beds, pillows, blankets, yoga rooms, gardens, dogs, location and especially folks running and working at the place! My girlfriend and I stayed here for a retreat with 27 other folks - but we were the only two who showed up - due to the protests. This is a special place - run by special folks - in a special area!
Willka Tika is a gem!! The gardens and the staff welcome you to a home like experience. A couple of people have criticized it because of the food---the food is all vegetarian, fresh food picked from their own gardens. The soups are exceptional and many of the dishes are tasty, but this is not why you go to Willka Tika. You go to Willka Tika to immerse yourself in the spiritual healing energy offered in both the retreat center and the surrounding valley. The staff are second to none--they are joyful, loving, generous in heart and work very hard to meet your needs. Open yourself, be preset to what is here and you will want to come back over and over again (I have gone 5 times and will continue to visit frequently)!
Willka T'ika is a special place, unparalleled in its beauty, commitment to its guests, and service to the community and people around it. The property itself is pristine, the gardens and the mountain views are breathtaking, and the accommodations are thoughtfully appointed, quiet, and clean. The staff at Willka T'ika is exceptionally kind and attentive. Verena, Roxana, the Cumes family and everyone else helped me make the most of my first trip to Peru. As a solo traveler, I highly recommend Willka T'ika's Essential Wellness Retreat. The itinerary for the week was carefully curated and designed to enrich and bring meaning to each traveler's personal journey and experience in the Sacred Valley. My time at Willka T'ika was unforgettable and I hope to return one day!
I stayed at Willka T'ika earlier this month for 5 nights and my only complaint is I wish I had stayed longer. Everything about it feels like a utopia--the smell when you enter the location is heavenly and the variety of flowers and trees was breathtaking. I loved and miss the two dogs, Apu and Kallpa. Walking the gardens with a coffee in the morning or enjoying a book under the lucuma tree felt peaceful and rejuvenating. The coffee and meals are delicious and filling. All of the staff is friendly and helpful, Roxanna seemed to know the answer before it was even asked. They helped arrange taxis, suggest tips on local transport/restaurants/shops (even in Lima, where I was traveling next), and connected me with a wonderful tour guide for Machu Picchu. I cannot recommend this place enough, it was a needed respite.…
I rarely review (good or bad) but I must comment on my stay at this sacred space. The room, the food, the amenities, and staff were increible! It was so clean that I even took advantage of the laundry service - which left my hiking clothes looking and smelling like new again! The gardens were so peaceful and the staff (and the entire Cumes family) were super kind and nurturing. It was hard to leave even to go out for a hike. I chose Willka T'ika as my last stop after days of mountain treks to multiple Inca ruins so my body could rest and recover. I did not expect the spiritual healing that I also attained. The massage, solar bath and a full day of just wandering the gardens left me restored and empowered. I would return tomorrow if I could!
