My daughter and I had an extra day in Peru and had just traveled 22 hours and were exhausted. On a whim I booked a night at Lizzy Wasi when my daughter said she wanted a “chill” day before we started our more intense adventure. When I realized it was about an hour from the airport I almost cancelled but I am SOOOOO GLAD we stayed. The hotel arranged a driver to get us from the airport and bring us for 110 soles (about $26 usd). We pulled in through the gate and it was an oasis. Amazing flowers and smells (night blooming jasmine was Devine and filled the air). There are also 2 alpaca on property - my daughter made friends with one of them. The food was lovely, the staff incredibly nice and helpful with excellent English if you don’t speak Spanish. We had our laundry done very reasonably as well. The rooms are beautiful with very comfortable beds and wooden “doors” for the windows keep the light out and allow for a nice lazy morning. After our one night there we returned to Cusco feeling completely renewed and refreshed. It felt good like we had been on vacation for a week! When we had an extra day off due to a change in plans, we actually repeated the round trip journey from Cusco to Urubamba for one more relaxing night at Lizzy Wasi! Thank you Lizzy Wasi for the hospitality and adding to our trip!

I had a great stay at this lovely Boutique Hotel, hidden behind rock walls. Inti, the host, was gracious, helpful and spoke good English. He has an amazing knowledge of the area and its history. The room was large, clean and comfortable with the added bonus of a balcony. The onsite restaurant had good food that was reasonably priced with attentive servers. I enjoyed the green open areas with flowers, a labyrinth to walk and friendly alpacas. The talented Quechua women weavers and their wares were a colorful addition with lovely gift options.

The best part of Lizzy Wasi hotel is the big beautiful garden with hammocks, chairs, fireplaces and even a couple of alpacas. All this with a beautiful view towards mountains. I would recommend the place especially someone who comes to spend weekend in the countryside.
The hotel is located a bit over one kilometer from Urubamba centre and I wouldn't like to walk the way alone when it's dark although I didn't see any problems.
Our room was big and the beds were comfortable but otherwise it was rather simple. It seemed to me and some other buildings are newer, so the rooms might be more comfortable. There was so much noise coming from the room above that I was a bit disappointed. The room was rather cold, too.
The breakfast was buffet style with good fruit salad and omelettes made according to wish. We had one dinner at the restaurant which is a good option if you don't want to go out.
The personnel were helpful and polite.

My wife and three kids and I planned our stay in the Sacred Valley as a lower altitude base camp for our subsequent trip to Mach Picchu. We stayed in Urubamba, at the Lizzy Wasi hotel for four wonderful nights!
The moment we arrived, we were awestruck by how peaceful, secure, and beautifully manicured the plush landscaping was at this resort! So much care and attention to detail has obviously gone into the planning and upkeep of this gorgeous property!
Beautiful trees, plants, birds, flowers, and grassy lawns interspersed with meticulously placed stonework and hammocks surround this entire property. Tremendous vistas span the horizon in every direction. The whole time you’re there, it feels like a serene sanctuary isolated from the rest of the world! At the end of our stay, we didn’t want to leave… 😂
The property has multiple places to tuck away and enjoy private family time, to include multiple trampolines, kids’ games, bonfire pits, and indoor/outdoor seating areas for dining or relaxing.
Their restaurant has an eclectic and delicious menu that keeps you coming back for more! Breakfast was complimentary and all other meals were offered in their cozy restaurant or delivered to your room (at no additional charge).
Their staff were incredible! Courteous, attentive, respectful, friendly, outgoing, and endlessly helpful! I truly can’t say enough about how “taken care of” we felt throughout our entire stay (like family). They made every possible effort to ensure that our every need was met, both on and off their resort grounds. They arranged our daily excursions on multiple days, as though it was their pleasure to assist us! ☺️
If you’re planning a trip to see Machu Picchu (just a short taxi and train ride away), this is definitely the place to stay! 5-Stars!!! 😃

The place is beautiful, and the expectations are exceeded.... The decency and the spaces are heart-expanding and the view of the mountains around, one of the most beautiful I have seen in Urubamba. When I got sick, I was assessed the check-out free of charge. When I wanted to travel they connected me to one of the wonderful guides I had in Peru, everything I wanted was taken care of wholeheartedly. And the food - excellent! In short, highly recommended!

Excellent hotel. All the staff from the hotel manager, housekeeping, food service and grounds keepers were friendly and helpful. Felt like home. Food was really good as well. This is our second time at Lizzy Wasi for many reasons. They allow for a family room with 3 beds that works wonderfully making it economical for family being willing to come visit me in Peru. I love the stories of the employees and how they are treated well by the owners. I see the same employees in both our visits. They are more attentive to needs than any other place I have ever stayed in my life. The amenities, food, help coordinating site seeing and more will meet all your needs.

On the way back from Machu Picchu our family of 3 decided to stay for the night at Urubamba and split the distance between Machu Picchu and Cusco. We made prior reservation, and when we arrived at Lizzy Wasi it was rather late at night. Yet the office staff was awaiting us and the kitchen was kept open, presumably just for us, so we could enjoy the warm dinner after a long day at Machu Picchu. Everyone was extremely nice and accommodating. And the meals on the property were made from scratch and just delicious. I wanted to acknowledge the manager, Jesus - that seemed to have worked around the clock, helping us with arrival and transportation to Cusco upon departure. Our experience could not be any more pleasant. After relaxing time at Lizzy Wasi Jesus arranged for our transportation to Cusco in luxurious full size tourist van at discounted rate. If we were to plan our Peru trip again, we’d consider anchoring for longer at Lizzy Wasi, which is conveniently located between many attractions in Sacred Valley, and make day trips from there. I wanted to extend my gratitude to all the staff for taking exeotional care of our family. Magdalena, Bianca and Art

From the moment that we arrived and were greeted by the owner and several staff members, we knew that we were going to have a wonderful stay! Our room was very comfortable and had a balcony that overlooked a perfectly manicured lawn with mountain views. The staff was attentive, professional and friendly. They unobtrusively saw to our every need, whether it was transportation, room service or meal planning; they were always one step ahead! The grounds are beautiful, safe and private & the full- service restaurant offers a high quality/creative menu. The ambiance is spot on with a copper fireplace and a welcoming atmosphere! The owners, Liz & Bill, envisioned and created a sanctuary in the middle of the Sacred Valley. It is the perfect place to end a long day of adventure travel!

Lizzy Wasi can arrange safe transport for you from the airport to her hotel. Cos is around $45 USD if I remember correctly. She also put us in contact with Bryan who is a certified tour guide and he took us to all the sights over two days. I think the cost was about $120 USD per day, or thereabouts, including transport. Staff at Lizzy Wasi is fantastic. Enjoy!

Hey. When I stayed there with a large group we were able to get our laundry done. It didn't cost much extra (I think a dollar per kg) and the clothes were washed and dried and even ironed and returned to us the same day or early next.

Hello, There are lots of activities to do here in the Valley, from zip lining, or ATV tours, or horseback riding, to visiting the many arqueological sites such as Ollantatyambo, Maras, Moray, or Chinchero, to also visiting some of the more off the beaten track places such as Naupa Misayoc.
You can also visit the Seminario Ceramic factory which is close by Lizzy Wasi.
To be honest I can't remember how we made the deposit whether it was through Paypal or other. I know that Elizabeth and Bill are wonderful people and that we had no problem making our deposit.
There are more places to choose from in the Urubamba area.
