Here is where you want to come after arriving in Lima but belfry heading to Cusco and Machu Picchu. This gives you time to get acclimated to the altitude, 9000 ft instead of 12000 at Cusco. Built right on the Urubamba river that heads to MP, the resort features lush grounds, excellent architecture and an intimate surrounding overlooking the Andis... More

Right next to the river with views of the mountains. Comfortable room with all the facilities. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Got addicted to avocado and fresh tomato every morning. Decent beads and coffee. They had adopted a couple of baby lamas so got to feed them. A great place to stay

This is a boutique hotel set ont the side of a hill by the river. The setting is beautiful and relaxing. The room had a private terrace with chairs and was lovely in the afternoon as it was sheltered from the winds which seem to come up each afternoon. It was a smallish room. There is a closet in the... Stayed here for two nights after arriving from the Belmond Miraflores Hotel in Lima. We had booked two interconnecting rooms but were upgraded to a huge villa with three bedrooms and bathrooms which was amazing. The villa had a fire which we lit both evenings as the temperature does drop at night and a fully equipped kitchen. The surroundings of... More

This hotel is beautiful. We had a Deluxe Terrace Room 1 level up from the restaurant which was great for us with the high altitude. Our room had a nice balcony with 2 chairs and table facing the Urubamba river and mountains in the background. Our room was very spacious with two comfortable double beds and comfy pillows along with... More

Immediately we arrived we were greeted with a munia tea and advice on how to avoid altitude sickness. This is an ideal place to acclimatise before heading to Cusco. If you arrive at Cusco airport and then travel into the Sacred Valley your body will start the acclimatisation process immediately but by not sleeping in Cusco on the first night... More

The rooms were nice and spacious. Our room overlooks lovely greens and a small creek. The management has llamas with minders for a certain period of times in the mornings. There were a couple of locals selling souvenirs and scarfs too.

This is absolutely the place to go to to relax. A beautiful and serene setting nestled in the middle of the mountains and on a river. This Belmond property is phenomenal. It is my favorite Belmond thus far. The location is great but very rural. Amenities and spa are top notch. Our room was superb with an incredible spa bathroom. The shower was designed to feel both in and outdoor. We had several good meals. The pool was small but nicely done. I am not sure... More
