We had an amazing 3 days at the hotel. We started here to acclimate to the altitude before hiking to Machu Picchu. They hotel is beautiful. The rooms as well. We had a lovely morning just exploring the hotel, chapel, gardens and grounds. We had another afternoon visiting a museum on the history of the Incas, which was really interesting and very well done. Rafael, and everyone else at the front desk were more than helpful. We also had 2 breakfasts being served by Ralberto. He was great. He knew our names before our coffee was served the first day. I hope I get to return to this lovely hotel and spa sooner rather than later.

I just made my first trip back to Perú in almost 18-months. Prior to the pandemic, I traveled to- and from the Sacred Valley monthly. I have stayed in a number of hotels throughout the valley - and the Aranwa Hotel is one of the absolute best. In the top 3 of hotels in the valley for sure! We arrived from Juliaca on a whirlwind trip that had us driving all over the southern Andes. When we got to the hotel I was surprised to see a number of other guests checking in. The hotel staff, however, did a great job with safety measures and made it super easy to feel secure and safe. The rooms and the general grounds of the hotel are awesome - an old hacienda, complete with a reconditioned chapel and museum. The staff are just superb. They are - to a person - kind, attentive and accessible. We had a late arrival and early departure, so we didn’t get to enjoy any of the COVID friendly amenities - but I am already making plans to return with my wife and our little girl. One thing to consider of you are traveling to the Urubamba Valley for the first time - the hotel is about 12 kilometers from the town of Urubamba and the main restaurants of the valley. Plan to take all your meals at the hotel - and enjoy their great bar and food offerings. It should be noted that COVID has made it such that many of the ‘tried and true’ epicurean suppliers of the valley have been hit really hard. My favorite artisanal beer manufacturer has suspended production. Here’s hoping they can get back on their feet. Truly a great place in an even better location and setting. I highly recommend the Awanra Hotel.

We stayed at the Aranwa Hotel and Spa after a week of enjoying Cusco and Machu Picchu. It was an incredible visit. The room was beautiful, clean and had a lovely view of a lake. The spa offered many different services. The hydrotherapy and the massages were top notch. Everyone who worked at the spa was professional, kind and able to help you enjoy a completely relaxing moment. We highly recommend this hotel and spa.
