I loved this hotel. The buildings and the grounds are beautiful. The room was relatively large with windows two directions and nice wood floor. Very comfortable beds with good duvets. Extra blankets and pillows were available packed in plastic covers - felt very hygienic. Good shower. They had the loveliest soap.Breakfast buffet was very good.Convenient location for the train station. The only negative aspect would be that if you go to a restaurant in the evening, the street is not super well lit and sidewalks rather narrow. I would stay here again.
My husband and I have recently returned from a trip to Peru. During our time here, we had a 1 night stay at Pakaritampu Hotel, before heading to Machu Picchu for the night. Location : The location of the hotel is excellent. It is only a few minutes walk to Ollantaytambo Train Station and an easy walk of around 10 minutes to the square and restaurants. And it is maybe around 10-15 minutes to get to some of the historic sites. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. The gardens are well kept and the grassed areas on the property are manicured. The rooms are spread out over the property surrounded by mountains. It is very pretty. Accommodation : We were in Room 17, which had a large bedroom, a small balcony, a decent size bathroom and a small entry way. It was very comfortable and there was nothing to complain about. Food and Staff : We only had breakfast here early one morning and it was good with a nice selection to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful with any of our questions. Pricing : The hotel was not in the budget category, but you certainly got what you paid for and the location can’t be beaten. Overall, the hotel exceeded our exceptions and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others who are looking for quality accommodation in Ollantaytambo. I only wish our itinerary would have allowed for extra time in Ollantaytambo, as my husband and I would have loved to have an extra night here. Regards, Cherie Sydney, Australia…
Comfortable large room. Very large selection of items for breakfast buffet. Very close to train. 2 minute walk. Very safe. Separate villa style units of about 4 rooms each. Must go out to main lodge for meal.
Beautiful grounds laid out on multiple levels. Plenty of places to relax in private, with great views of surrounding mountains and ruins. About 10 minutes to town, and two minutes to train station. Since Trip Advisor demands more words, let me say again that the grounds are beautifully laid out. Many private places to relax. Highly recommend.
This hotel set at the base of an amazing mountain range was something to behold. The gardens in full bloom accentuated the village atmosphere. The rooms while sparsely furnished fitted the location with their Spanish theme. Bed comfort was good, as was the simple but adequate buffet breakfast. Free Wifi and available parking. A short walk into town, albeit uphill and cobblestones. If there are any mobility issues there are plenty of local taxis to assist. Only a few minutes walk down the hill to the train station if heading to Machu Picchu.
