Due to the protesting that has been going on in Peru there has been very few tourists. We were the only guests in the hotel and were treeted like royalty. The rooms are very comfortable with huge double beds. The restaurant has a very good menu, although leans towards vegetarian . All staff speak excellent English plus other languages. I would 100% recommend this hotel to everyone.
Very nice and calm. Lovely place to feel the energy of the town without the noise . Beautiful layout. Great location near the train and to the archeological site. Service very attentive and kind. Clean and special atmosphere. Good Pisco!
If your traveling with your family, this hotel does not have the tourist safety first in mind. They first secured payment of rooms we booked before informing us that the town would be having a major agricultural strike that would be shutting down transportation to Machu Picchu for 2 days. I was there with my kids I didn’t feel safe to have my family there, they refused to refund my money.
Perfect spot to stage your trip to Machu Picchu. Hotel is a short 5 minute walk to the train station and about 10 minutes to the town square and restaurants. Comfortable room, excellent breakfast, and friendly staff made for a really nice stay. Hotel allows guest to safely store larger bags over night so you only need to take minimal essentials up to Machu Picchu.
One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The location, architecture, landscaping, room interior, dining room, and lounging areas were all exquisite. We arrived after sunset and couldn’t believe the beauty that surrounded us when we opened the windows the next morning. The staff was very accommodating (though I think it’s kind of chintzy to charge us to order a taxi) and the location was great - easy walk into the charming town and to the (incredible!) ruins, and just a few minutes the other way to the train. I highly, highly recommend this enchanting hotel.
I was absolutely blown away by this fine establishment. Not only is the location breathtaking, it’s also extremely convenient to everything in the sacred valley. The train to Macha Picchu is only a 5 min walk. The main town area is also a 5 minute walk. Oh you need a ride somewhere? Plenty of taxis around and if you need a private driver, the hotel can order you one. The hotel itself is gorgeous. The fine red color is a nice contrast to the vibrant colors that nature has to offer from the skies to the grass. They truly know the value of maintaining their landscape. I found myself just so exciting to look outside your hotel room window every morning. The staff is by far some of the best I have ever experienced. Anything I needed they were quick to accommodate. It was cold due to the winter weather at night so I asked if they had a heater. In no less than 5 minutes, a heater was delivered to my door. The staff were always friendly and would be great at recommendations. They even went out of their way to book us a private tour guide for Machu Picchu and he was amazing as well! And the food. Wow. I ordered a pizza because I have a little goal of mine to search for the best pepperoni pizza in the world. And quite frankly, this pizza was most definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. Even when I was full, i wanted to have even more. Everything else I tried was also quite good. From pastas to soups to alpaca steak. Everything tasted delicious. You will not regret choosing hotel pakaritampu.…
Delightful experience! Not only is the best hotel in Ollantaytambo but this is also the closest one to the train station with a short walk to the main plaza. Staff is very friendly and give excellent customer service! Also, LOVED the food here! Highly recommend this hotel.
Researching hotels in Olly was interesting. I wanted something with some decent amenities and good value. Well this place was fantastic! Service was outstanding. Amenities were great, room was cozy. My wife always ask for AC in rooms, as we are from Florida, so I was concerned, but you don't need AC, the cooler temperatures at night make it more then cool enough. We had a rental car and we had 2 day MP tour. So we were worried about where we could leave the car while we stayed in AC for one night. We asked the hotel and they allowed us to keep it in there gated parking lot even though we were only staying with them 1 night. This was so helpful and appreciated! The service from the gentlemen at the front desk was exceptional! They helped us with our bags, Breakfast was available at 5am so we could eat before our tour. Rooms were everything we needed and more. The hotel grounds were beautiful! All the places in Olly are in walking distance and the train station is just a 2 or 3 minute walk. Highly recommend this place!…
Quaint hotel. Very close to the Peru Rail and ruins. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the water accent in the back area to sit and enjoy nature. Really loved this city (Ollantaytambo), the most friendly people we have met in Peru (Been to Lima, Cuzco, Pisco and Agua Caliente).
I loved this hotel. The buildings and the grounds are beautiful. The room was relatively large with windows two directions and nice wood floor. Very comfortable beds with good duvets. Extra blankets and pillows were available packed in plastic covers - felt very hygienic. Good shower. They had the loveliest soap.Breakfast buffet was very good.Convenient location for the train station. The only negative aspect would be that if you go to a restaurant in the evening, the street is not super well lit and sidewalks rather narrow. I would stay here again.
