Stayed here the night before heading off on the Inca Trail. The vistas from the front were jaw-droppingly beautiful. We sat on the grassed area and watched as the sun set over the mountains. Truly majestic. The rooms were a reasonable size, however, the hot water was unpredictable. Either all cold or pounding down. The wi-fi was patchy. I could... More

This is a very pretty location. We stayed here as part of an Intrepid tour, for 2 nights. We were greeted by a sight of a family of 3 Alpacas, who live on site and wander around the gardens. The gardens are very beautiful. From the balcony of our guest house, we have a magnificent view to the snow capped... More

My family of five stayed at the Tunupa Lodge last week. We rented two rooms to accommodate all of us. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful - with a llama family roaming around and keeping us entertained. The hotel is only a 4 minute walk from the train station and another 4 minute walk up... More

This Hotel is within 5 minutes of the train station. No TV No Wifi No Heat. But the most adorable alpacas to greet you. They have a restuarant that is great. They got our breakfast early for our train out. It was the best breakfast we had in Peru. Quiet, beautiful view. Clean.

Tunupa Lodge Pros: Great views, clean, nice beds, warm blankets, friendly alpacas, good breakfasts, good staff, close to train station, recommend that you try the trout nuggets in the restaurant. Cons: No heat in the room, no TV's, no grip pad in the shower, no bath mats to step out on, very poor WiFi

I stayed here with a friend the night before our short Inca Trek. The hotel itself is pretty average, but the views and grounds are lovely. It's located about 10 minutes from the main plaza and 5 minutes from the train station. The rooms are clean and average sized, but the bathroom had this small window/vent in the shower that... More

Nice place to stay with a camper and get access to a full-size, fully equipped bathroom; wifi for travelers, good parking immediately at the side of the green. Walking distance from railstation to Machu Picchu - possible to visit for the day - and colonial middle of the picturesque and well kept village. Some coordination necessary to get attention in... Good location at 5min from the train station. The hotel has a 3 star feeling (big room / nice bathroom / king bed) but lack some amenities like: heater in the room, kettle... The breakfast was ready early (5:30) which was perfect to get on the 6:00 train to Machu Pichu. It also had enough choice to be satisfied. Overall,... More

This was booked as part of our trek to Machu Picchu so we didn't choose to stay here.. On arrival our first impressions were great. It's in an amazing setting surrounded by mountains and two llamas hanging around ready to greet us ! It's about a 15 min walk to town .. Easy and safe. This wasn't an issue at... More

We stayed at Tanupa Lodge during our Intrepid Sacred Land of the Incas tour on the night before we started our Inca Trail trek. The hotel seemed pretty new and was about a 10 minute walk from Ollantaytambo's town square. Our corner room was big and bright. Lots of blankets available as it was super cold at night. Amazing view... More
