Last minute booking due to a sudden change in plans. Very basic hotel. No TV in room and very basic setting. At USD$100.00 a night I expected a bit more. The bed was comfortable though and they offer a continental breakfast. Nice view from our terrace though of the ruins. Very close to the main square.

Loved this hotel, great beds and linens, clean bathrooms, and a fabulous courtyard with flowers. The service was excellent and accommodating to our changing needs. We all agreed that we got our best night of sleep here. Would stay here again!

Loved this quaint little hotel in the middle of town! We slept well as beds were so comfortable & room was spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the Urubamba River & out to the fortress. Ollantaytambo is on the train line from Cuzco & is a living Incan town, so glad we stayed here rather than neighbouring Urubamba. The hotel... More

This hotel is very nice. Don't let the outside fool you. I read a review about someone having problems with the hot water in the shower I had no issues whatsoever. We weren't lucky to have a room with a balcony but it was very quiet and the staff was very kind and helpful.

I was just there last week and we loved the hotel. The stuff is very friendly and the location is great. It's right by the Ollantaytambo ruins, 2 minutes from the town main square and 5 minutes to the train station. Be aware, though, that if you go in the winter, the hotel can be cold. We asked for more... More

Hotel Sol has a great location - not that any location in Ollanta is bad, but Hotel Sol is nearly next to the ruins, as well as a block away from the city center. It's also at the intersection that leads to the train station, which is likely going to be important as well. I was delighted to find that... More

The town is tiny and this hotel is located right between the archaeological site and the tourist restaurants. Staff are nice, though they took hours to bring a requested heater to the room. Bathroom was cold. Shower was warm in the evening, but there was no hot water in the morning. The river right outside the window provided nice white... More

We were given a gorgeous room with a balcony that looked out onto gorgeous gardens, a river and the mountains, the scenery was just spectacular and the sound of the river all night was amazing. The bed was incredibly warm and comfortable and the room was large and the bathroom too. The hotel itself was cosy and open, the middle... More

You can tell this property was cutting corners trying to keep costs down, but its a good location for the city and 10 min walk to the train station. I liked the staff, although I only saw 3 people, one front desk, one was a maintenance person, the other a breakfast person. I dont know why they are cutting corners,... More
